Coco LaFemme: TuteTibiImperes: Good for him.  Too many people are locked into thinking that sexuality is binary, when in reality most people are some shade of bisexual and just lean to varying degrees towards one side or the other.

I'm 100% heterosexual.  I've never been sexually attracted to women, and that'll never change.  What I'm curious to know is, what do you mean by "some shade of bisexual?"  Are you proposing that there are people walking around that consider themselves 80% gay or something?

When Kinsey was doing his research he used a scale with seven gradients, from purely heterosexual to purely homosexual, with the midpoint being equally homosexual and heterosexual.  Researchers have found the basic premise valid, though now they recognize additional axes for biological sex and gender identity.

Most people seem to consider themselves entirely straight or gay, and even if they have certain attractions or sexual urges to members of their non-dominant sexual partner preference, they tend to ignore them because of their chosen identity.  I'm just saying that for a lot of people it's a spectrum and not a binary selection.  A woman can be primarily attracted to men, and only have relationships with men, yet still have same-sex attraction to other women, and even if she acts on those attractions, it doesn't automatically make her a lesbian.  The same can go for men, they can be primarily attracted to women and only interested in relationships with women, but have homosexual encounters without suddenly becoming gay.

You can have people with certain limits. For example, you might have a guy who doesn't mind having another guy giving him head, but doesn't enjoy reciprocating so they play with guys who like to bottom. Or you have guys that prefer to do bi play but only when a woman is also involved, like when you have a male top playing with a couple that has a dominant female who enjoys forcing her submissive bi male to service top men. It's all enjoyable for everyone involved because the bottom males enjoy the receiving end of things so the top can be a bit selfish. For a dominant male, it can be a huge turn on to have another man to do things because it gives them a greater sense of power because they are forcing someone physically equal to submit to them.

There's a lot of different ways people get their cranks turned, and so long as it is consensual I say everyone should be allowed to let their freak flag fly.

FuryOfFirestorm: rynthetyn: Back to TFA, Andre Leon Talley is currently the editor of some Russian fashion magazine, I'd say that probably has something to do with what he's saying in interviews about his sexuality. Otherwise, he might find himself in big trouble with the Russian government.

Nail, meet head. Has anyone actually seen this guy walk and talk? His wardrobe mostly consists of kimonos, capes, and caftans, and every time he speaks, a rhinestone studded dildo falls out of his mouth. Girlfriend craves the D, no matter how hard she protests.

When he was on America's Next Top Model, he was more of a walking, talking, human caricature than Miss J. If some sitcom decided to write a character that dressed and acted like Andre Leon Talley does, they'd get a sternly worded letter from GLAAD about the offensiveness of the character.

Your copy-pasta is showing.

Do you post that in every Fark frat thread?

You know, this discussion will probably seem nonsensical to people of future generations.  Hopefully we'll be a bit past all this by then.

Hey men, when you start flipping out because some other men are bisexual or comfortable with experimenting it makes you look panicky and stupid, like you're scared that if THOSE guys can be attracted to both males and females to varying degrees, then it means you must be too.

Where's all the rage for women who've been with guys and yet had one or two sexual encounters with women? Oh yeah, that doesn't matter because it's hot.

Yup. Top shelf at a gas station in the bad part of town. Next to the outdated cans of Dinty Moore beef stew and pine air fresheners.

Ayup. Sexuality is a spectrum. A rainbow, if you will.
