(AP)   Martha Stewart opens website to tell her side of the story. It is stylish, color coordinated and tasteful. It must be true, it's on the interweb thingy   (marthatalks.com) divider line 101

Stylish my ass, that green is awful.

2004-01-11 05:32:52 PM
This is the woman that had someone arrested for trespassing when they used her driveway to turn around when they made a wrong turn.

Had surveillance cameras catch the licsence plate number and cops go to the person's house. What a biatch.

2004-01-11 05:54:40 PM
I had hoped the site would include a guitly or not guilty survey.

PS Green may look good on your walls but for text it suxs, which is why everyone uses black, red and blue.

PPS Mike, perhaps your next bit of scripting genuis could be an either/or survey posting, thingy.

2004-01-11 06:00:41 PM
Err, may be i shoudl use that perview thingy Mike added. The word is genius.

2004-01-11 06:36:04 PM
Ahh Martha, fire of my loins..

2004-01-11 07:18:22 PM
I have always found Martha strangely attractive. She won me over when I saw her guzzle a 40 and eat a burrito on Conan.

2004-01-11 09:50:52 PM
wow! She even sounds like a condescending(sp) biatch when she is pleading for people to believe in her again.

2004-01-11 09:51:27 PM
The use of nested tables make me think she's guilty. And I would have chosen a darker green.

I've got that strange Martha jones too

2004-01-11 09:51:58 PM
Ahh Martha, fire of my loins..

Thats just nasty.

2004-01-11 09:52:45 PM
it'll be pretty funny watching her show when shes locked up. like how to make a shank form your toothbrush or a tattoo gun.

2004-01-11 09:53:51 PM
This is a personal statement from Martha Stewart. It is not issued by or on behalf of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. no kidding? looks like Omnimedia is trying to distance itself freom martha. and with good reason. one can hope she gets some jail for this.

2004-01-11 09:54:53 PM
personally i believe her (and i think she's hot, but that's besides the point), but even if she is lying, she made like 50 grand off it. i think she's being made an example of.

there's like 100,000 guiltier people than her in this whole stock scam BS land. get the enron guys and global crossing people and all those tyco people first. people who farked with people's pensions and stuff. i bet they're spending 5,000,000 of government money to go after the 50,000 she allegedly made.

there's a real schadenfreude going on.

2004-01-11 09:55:10 PM
But where are the porno pictures? No nude pictures? Who ever heard of a woman openning a web site without nude pictures? Who does this broad think she is?

2004-01-11 09:55:56 PM
The last time Martha Stewart opened up her website on this issue of her legal difficulties, I sent her an e-mail on some of the finer prison etiquette and the biatch had the nerve to send me a form letter back. Go to hell, Martha.

2004-01-11 09:57:26 PM
This website has been around for months, nothing new. I do think that the charges against her are bogus, for what my opinion is worth. That having been said, she is a bit scary.

2004-01-11 09:58:28 PM
Whatever happend to Ken Lay?

Why isn't that biatch ass in jail yet?

2004-01-11 09:59:37 PM
Hope she rots for the inadvertant pain she's caused in the form of my fiancee always trying to emulate her styles and advice. Biatch must pay!!!!!!

2004-01-11 10:01:02 PM
Oh yeah, hottie

2004-01-11 10:02:12 PM
Well personally, I've had a lot more respect for Martha since I saw her shove a whole turkey up her ass on that South Park episode.

That was real, wasn't it?

I'm sure you mean "beside" the point.

0. Marth puts in stop loss order in case Imclone falls past a certain point.

1. FDA refuses to test erbitux, which Imclone says helps against cancer.

2. Other people who have a fiduciary relationship with ImClone or are part of its management engage in 'insider selling'

3. Rumors spread, stock declines, Martha's standing order takes effect.

4. Gov starts investigating, finds questionable details in Martha's alleged order, claim she engaged in insider selling.

5. Martha claims she didn't do it (which is true on its face because only those who have, at a minimum, a fiduciary relationship with the public company can engage in insider trading).

6. Gov assclowns realize that she can't be charged with insider trading, decide to call grand jury on 'obstruction of justice' charge, i.e., her saying that she's innocent.

7. FDA changes its mind on erbitux when it's found that it does exactly what ImClone says it does.

8. Profit! and Get Tough Prosecutor makes a name for his asshattery-happy self.

2004-01-11 10:04:42 PM
Martha broke the law, and now she must pay. IN BLOOD

2004-01-11 10:05:56 PM
Halitosis

please, everybody knows that martha doesn't have a human circulatory system.

2004-01-11 10:06:21 PM
It's because this type of trading is next to impossible to catch. So when they find anything close, they go after it with everything they've got.

2004-01-11 10:07:46 PM
That should def be nsfw, I almost chucked when I saw that site. honestly sickening.

2004-01-11 10:08:18 PM

"Hey slut! I'm writing a letter to your mother, telling her that you're a whore!"

2004-01-11 10:09:56 PM
is there a word for people who use words just because they think no one knows what they mean...as indicated by linking to their dictionary entry?

oh yah. pretentious.

2004-01-11 10:12:17 PM
She's 60+, and I'd still hit it.... ooh, baby!

2004-01-11 10:12:20 PM
Meanwhile, Kennyboy Lay is sitting on the beach, sipping banana daqueries and lighting a cuban cigar with a $100 bill.

If Martha were a republican, she'd be free and clear.

I farking HATE republicans hypocrites!!

2004-01-11 10:14:52 PM
Martha Stewart is the anti-christ!

2004-01-11 10:20:14 PM
So, basically, she just got LUCKY when she dumped her shares of stock a day before they would become worthless -- the same stock that people are currently serving time for doing what she is being charged with.

I don't believe for one second that she had a sell-number that if it were to fall below that number, she'd sell. The broker already came clean and told the truth, she just didn't ever think she'd get caught.

Everyone can compare Enron to this, but hey -- if you all have serious issues with Enron, I think that NOT prosecuting Martha for an (alleged) crime she committed won't help. Do the crime, do the time.

With Enron, if you want to see those lawbreakers behind bars, GO AFTER the ones who are keeping them from being behind bars, and leave Martha Stewart out of it.

"I think the charges against her are fake."

Yes, because the government so oftens spends millions of dollars to frame-up and prosecute well-liked celebrities for no good reason. Or, in this case, racism.

Because if there's one thing District Attorneys love more than anything it is prosecuting wealthy defendants with flimsy manufactured evidence.

Has anyone considered they may actually have evidence that she committed a crime or do you think they're going to get to trial and say "Well, we don't actually have anything on her but she should be prosecuted because she's biatchy?"

Meanwhile, Kennyboy Lay is sitting on the beach, sipping banana daqueries and lighting a cuban cigar with a $100 bill.

Why do youhate america?

he is just strengthening the American dollar....as he is destroying it, he is making it worth more...

Jeez. you liberal-commie-hippie bastards amaze me. George Bush is helping the economy by giving people like Ken Lay money...you must hate america too much to see that.

2004-01-11 10:24:10 PM
for those that think she didn't do it there is the matter of the doctored logs. besides which, given her demonstrated personality to date, you know she never thought the rules applied to her. or that she would get caught. IMHO

2004-01-11 10:28:07 PM
I need to e-mail martha ASAP and let her know that her img tags don't have ALT attributes!!!! OMGZ THAT IS SO NOT STYLISH!!!

2004-01-11 10:28:29 PM
martha lovers,

please spend as much time as you spend defending martha fixing your house.

i'd plow it for shiats n giggles

2004-01-11 10:49:41 PM
I'm guessing all the messages mailed to her telling her to rot in gaol don't get posted on her message board. Reading those messages supplied me with enough saccharine to see me through to 2006.

2004-01-11 10:49:46 PM
Cubansaltyballs

HA HA! Very funny.

2004-01-11 10:50:18 PM
I find her strangly attractive too, for some reason. Hold me.

2004-01-11 10:56:55 PM
someone so attractive should not be sent to jail..
I do not know why I like white women

2004-01-11 10:57:40 PM
Contrast and compare...

Ken Lay: possibly responsible for scams on the American public totalling in the millions; conducted meetings with the current administration that are being strangely kept off-limits to the public = off the radar.

Martha Stewart: made a 40-50k off a deal that is questionable although it's debatable whether it is her wrongdoing; didn't hurt many (if any) people; donates to the Democrats = fire up the stake.

2004-01-11 10:58:21 PM
The woman, a billionaire, made $50 k on the sell order. Big deal. From what I have read I don't think it is much of a case and even if they prove it, what's the point? They'd just send her to Club Fed or give her probation any way. This is a hatchet job. For what its worth, I think that maybe the guy turning around in her driveway that she had arrested worked for the Department of Justice. Even past 60 she looks hittable but then you know me.
