Such a wonderful actress who will be missed, but I'm thankful her long battle with cancer is over.

Awww, hell.

I channel-surfed into "House of 1000 Corpses" last week-- I'd never seen it and was psyched for some schlocky fun. But then the name "KAREN BLACK" appeared the opening credits, and suddenly I was all OHHH HELLZ YEAH. I honestly didn't know she was in it. She was magnificent!

Absolutely gorgeous when she briefly donned a blonde wig in "Family Plot".

And she went to my high school.

House of 1000 Corpses is a good movie, and she was good in it. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems critical opinion is turning around on that film. Everyone hated it when it came out.

Also, the idea of a stewardess having to fly a plane was very cool to me when I was a kid, so there's that.

I agree 100%. I wanted to like it the first time I saw it, but the opening scene in the store was just bad writing. I bought it used a couple years ago, and I love it. The Devil's Rejects is incredible right from the start.

My mother would rent VHS movies, and if she got too tired, just stop it and watch it in the next morning.  I still remember standing there, behind my father's recliner and waiting for the school bus when I saw the doll jabbing his knife under the door.

I think I spent the next year of my life staring at the crack under the door whenever I took a dump.

\and don't get me talking about the time I watched CHUD as a kid

The first movie I think of is 'Capricorn One', when Elliot Gould is trying his best to get her in the sack.

You're thinking of another 70's star that wasn't afraid to briefly show the tata's when appropriate, Sally Kellerman.

I knew how it would end. I think every person who saw it knew how it would end, they practically told you. When the ending finally came- bam! Almost jumped outta my chair, and that's all due to Karen Black being so creepy and amazing. Cool movie, cool lady. RIP.

Burnt Offerings is a great scary movie. I think Karen Black's lazy eye, or whatever her issue was, made the climactic scene 50 times scarier than it would have been with a normal-eyed actress.

Now there was a girl I liked back when I didn't understand why I liked girls. Watching reruns of Room 222 when I stayed home from school because of a cold of something. My next television schoolteacher crush was Lindsay Wagner as The Bionic Woman.

That farking Zuni doll scared the shiat out of me when I was a kid. The Trilogy of Terror is so ridiculously cheesy to watch now, but holy fark that scared the piss out of me when I was 6 (my dad was... irresponsible).

I'm going to have to scrounge around Netflix this weekend for some of her films, because I'm fairly sure my wife has never had the pleasure of being freaked out by that Zuni doll.

Hated that dang doll.

I recently bought that Zuni doll on Ebay...
Only 50.00 bucks, 12.00 for delivery. It was a steal considering some assholes ask up to 300.00 for the little guy.
Then she dies a few weeks later. And oddly enough, my mom died on Tuesday this week. And then the guy who inspected my newly bought home for termites...he died this week too.
WTF???
