Reminds me of the scene from Game of Thrones where a Minstral sang a song about the dead king in a tavern, and was forced to sing it for the supposed king's son.  He got his tongue chopped out for it.

So by all comparison, she got off easy.

Really?


They read from a list of Leader-approved jokes, and the audience must laugh after each one.  Hoong must have told one not on the list, like, "Why did the chicken cross the road?  To get away from the starving throng of labour camp slaves who had only dreamed of chicken!"
