I'm not even in IT, yet I still picked up on that and laughed.

Well done.

Oh, Sanchez will absolutely start in the opener. In fact, I expect him to start in every game until Rex Ryan is fired

2013-08-07 05:07:18 PM
In relation to his skills and the skill level of the other QB's in camp, this may very well be true.  With regard to the interest of NY Jets fans: ouch.

Mark Sanchez has as many road playoff wins as Roger Staubach. That is also the only time you will see their names together in a sentence other than "Mark Sanchez isn't as good as Roger Staubach"

Geno Smith: "Of course. I fully back Mark," Smith said. "I fully back the coaches' decisions. I'm all about helping this team win."

Then maybe you should start the next game, and all of the following ones, and start building an actual future; not the alternate future where Rex Ryan is in the same regard as Tom Landry and Mark Sanchez is 50 yards from beating Drew Brees' single season record.

Buttfumble will never get old. It warms my heart each time I see it just as it did the first day.

Buttfumble is eternal.

I am actually thankful Sanchez gave this to us. I hope he has something else in store.

Sanchez likes big butts and he cannot lie!

This season I want to see Sanchez run into someone's groin and fumble for a touchdown.

Does it even matter if Sanchez rebounds and becomes a multiple MVP and Super Bowl winner? I mean, you fark just one sheep fumble into just one butt...

A year may come when the arm of Brady fails, when we forsake our wins and break all bonds of dominance. But it is not this year.

Though I am a Dolphins fan, I concede no division outright at this point. When/if Brady has a training camp mishap (right around the 3rd preseason game) they are Farked.

Aside from that, I have a ton of confidence in Brady being Brady, not much confidence in what he has left to throw to. This division is not the walk in the park for the Pats as it has been in the past

FTA: "Of course. I fully back Mark," Smith said. "I fully back the coaches' decisions. I'm all about helping this team win. Once they came out with the decision that he would start the first preseason game I really didn't have any reaction to it."

Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Smith had taken a "little dip" in practice this week. Smith did not disagree.

"It wasn't my normal self," Smith said. "It's something that happens in sports. Everyone has those days. I think the best teller of the type of player you are is how you come back and perform afterwards."

No, as a rookie trying to make a professional football team you can't have those days.

If you ask me, Smith is scared to death to start.

As he should be. That team isn't winning any games regardless of the qb. He'd be branded a loser by the talking heads and run out of the league. Much better to remain the backup qb until the season is lost, then start fresh next year.

It's never really been a walk in the park, except maybe 2007.
Last year it took a last minute field goal to tie the freaking Jets and force overtime, every team in the division was 3-3 at the time.
Things can change fast in the NFL and the Dolphins have a lot of good pieces. Even with Brady healthy all it will take is Tannehill not turning the ball over to make Miami a legitimate challenger.

now if I could just phrase that as a LOTR pastiche

Yeah but the Pats have been the team to beat for so long, you cannot imagine them faltering really. They still have that swagger and confidence with every play that you have to admire.

The King is still the King until he is knocked from the throne.

Sure, the Jets are a great punchline, but don't be surprised if they're competitive in that division.

No. The punchline will continue right up to the point Ryan is let go. Their chance to be competitive is start out 0-4 then win 9 of their last games.

Because Ryan, who has won 9, 11, 8, and 6 games, and is 4-2 in the postseason, is everything that's wrong with the Jets.

The day he got booed by all the Jets fans then 2 plays later connected on a bomb to hill for a TD was just a tad coincidental, because I'm sure they all said "let mark have this one cro, back off hill so these people shut up".
