As far as I'm concerned, the only thing wrong with breast-feeding in public is that the baby's head obstructs my view

Do I think there's anything wrong in a world of blank slate existence with breast feeding in public? No. It's natural, it's healthy for the baby, it's healthy for mom, and oh yeah, it's natural. (Hint, the term for our biological division as "mammals" should be a clue.)

Do I also acknowledge that we live in a society that sees breasts, and even the slightest hint of them as sexual objects that might break the social fabric and lead us to a moral-less heathen existence? Of course. I hyperbolize, but when people gawk over "side-boob" and "under-boob" exposure, the nature of our society shows itself. It's a lot of learned behavior, and it won't change overnight. The first two posts in the article exemplify it. To look at the breast of a woman feeding her newborn and see something to get a boner over is odd to me.

I love boobies, I think that may not be clear form the post above, but I distinguish that they serve multiple purposes. For example, and maybe someone can prove me wrong, but in most cases, I imagine gay men looking at a man taking a piss are not turned on by that piece of exposed anatomy. If we are mature and thoughtful, we can differentiate play time from work time.

For the record, Boobies are least attractive when they're being used to feed. I don't care how awesome a particular set is, I guarantee you if they're in the process of feeding, they're not worth looking at.

No.

Bikini tops on hot chicks are usually ok though, bras are not.

Check that, sports bras are also ok.

I saw a gal's breastfeeding blog site once that had meticulously blurred all the babies.  I wasn't sure if it was a political statement, actual privacy issues or just a humor thing; it was pretty odd though.

Waking it is natural also yet some people frown on me waking it in public.

In case you really are looking for a reason -- it has zero to do with religion and 100% to do with treating women in the workplace with equal respect.
