"As alleged, Kristin Davis sold prescription pills not once, but rather four different times in four months to an FBI cooperating witness. This type of criminal activity is illegal for citizens, and is especially unbecoming for a person seeking public office in the City of New York," FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge George Venizelos said. "The FBI and our partners in law enforcement remain committed to investigate and bring to justice those individuals who illegally distribute prescription medicines for their own financial gain."

That's an odd way of putting it. Is it legal for non-citizens?

I like how Weiner's totally consensual, 100% legal activities rise above the level of scandal of this woman's previous illegal activity and alleged current illegal activity.

Her business experience may actually help her in the role she seeks.  I don't see what benefit having a high profile penis would be as mayor.

And, in an ideal world there would be more than two parties to choose from.  When you run for a major political party ticket, one with a chance of winning, expect more scrutiny from everyone. Davis is on the Liberterian ticket, and is not going to win.

"[Davis] faces a maximum of 80 years behind bars if convicted on all four counts."

Being incarcerated on federal drug charges would seem to me to be a larger detriment to her ability to execute her responsibilities more than having people know what your penis looks like. But maybe that's just me.

It's like the signs I see that say "criminal trespass prohibited in this area." I always want to ask if someone could please direct me to the area in which criminal trespass is permitted.

He wasn't running for husband, so why does it matter that he isn't a good one? What if he has an open marriage? I could see having an axe to grind if this guy was running on some morality platform, but he isn't.

Well since he has never been accused of anything illegal, then I will assume he hasn't done anything illegal.

Just to clarify, since people seem confused:

Anthony Weiner: ex-Congressman who likes to take pictures of his weiner, which is not illegal; is currently running for Mayor of NYC
Eliot Spitzer: ex-Governor who likes high-priced hookers, which is illegal; is currently running for Comptroller of NYC

Davis's beef is with Spitzer not being prosecuted while she was. She has no connection to Weiner.

FTFA: The official FBI complaint says Davis sold combinations of amphetamines, alprazolam, zolpidem, carisopordal, (fancy terms for Adderall, Xanax and ecstacy)

Amphetamines are Adderall, alprazolam is Xanax, but I'm fairly certain that zolpidem (Ambien) and/or carisopordal (Soma) are not ecstasy.

Get's a pass? He was farking impeached and ridiculed mercilessly.  The only 'pass' he got was from people who realized the dog and pony show the Republicans put on was a complete waste of time over a personal matter. Is Bill a complete sleeze when it comes to women... you're damned right. if it had been you or i who had committed perjury to a federal grand jury & obstruction of justice, we would not have been given a pass.
I believe Clinton's treatment was well deserved given the position that he held and yet for that same reason, he was acquitted.  It's good to be the King.

yand i'm not going to attempt to validate the actions of either man, it was after all, their actions.

New York is more than just New York City.  In fact the original Fark headline implied Spitzer and Davis were running for comptroller for New York, not the comptroller for New York City.
