They might also want to question Michael Ironside.

It's funny to watch another country's media, to see the bullshiat they are trying to scare their own people with.

"Telepathy:  Our silent killer.  What you don't know and what you need to know, tonight at 11."

"Personal massagers:  Are they the work of the devil?  Find out how one woman went on the ride of her life.  Coming up."

It's all bullshiat, it's just bullshiat people think you will believe.

With the right tinfoil antenna hat, you should be able to pick up telepathic brainwaves from up to three miles.

Which is why I laugh when people go crazy about how the US is trying to scare us.

No, its just we are knowledgeable enough to know they are trying to scare us, most of the world has no clue.

On the other hand, most engineers would consider it really cool to get killed by telepathy.

I did a double-take when I saw that this story was from the Beeb, but then I noticed that it was from the BBC Monitoring Division - that low-key little group that listens to the world's transmissions. They're a bit like Fark.

If it were possible to kill telepathically, I wouldn't think too long or hard about who might have done it.

Telepathy != telekinesis

Telepathy - reading/manipulating others' thoughts
Telekinesis - moving things with your mind

Something that I've always wondered is how telepathy and telekinesis are supposed to work. I mean telepathy is pretty straightforward as an analog to radio transmitting and receiving, possibly through some sort of luminferous ether, but the whole telekinesis thing has me stumped.

When it comes to raising someone else's hand wouldn't either work? It's not an inanimate object.

If you were trying to build a pseudo-scientific case for telekinesis I think it would be easiest to start with the quantum mind-body problem.

You might argue that some people could consciously manipulate the simultaneous collapse of huge numbers of wave functions in such a way that they would manifest macroscopic effects.

From Dr. Nevzat Tarhan website (Google Translate)

"Electromagnetism through the head of a person sending a wave of intensely painful, tense can be achieved. Kişi bu yoğun baskı altında zaman ve mekân algısını kaybeder. People lose the perception of time and space that is under intense pressure. Depresyona girer, içinden çıkamadığı bir hal alır. Gets depressed, a state can really get through. İntihara meyilli hale gelir. Becomes suicidal. Elektromanyetizma bir silah olarak da kullanabilir. Electromagnetism can also use it as a weapon.

ASELSAN (Turkish: ASELSAN Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.) is a Turkish corporation that produces tactical military radios and defense electronic systems for the Turkish Army

The radio made them do it.

Good point. I'll rely on the technicality that telepathically, you're (subconsciously? subliminally?) suggesting that the subject raise their own hand; telekinetically, you'd be physically raising it for them whether they wanted to or not.
