Just sit the Cheater for the duration. It's the Manager's decision who plays and who doesn't, and A-Rod has clearly not been playing well, so there's the only excuse they need to sit him. Let him appeal his suspension, that's fine. He can waste his time traveling from ballpark to ballpark, never playing, just sitting the bench with the other scrubs. Eventually A-Rod will get the idea that he will never get to play in a major league game ever again, and either retire or ride the bench until the end of his contract (assuming his suspension is overturned).

Fines are for poor people and patsies, and since nobody really cares about steroids in MLB anymore, A-Rod won't be either, so no, probably not.

He has only played for one game and was one of the few people that actually put up any offense last night. Plus the Yankee's need his bat, and have no compelling reason to bench him while they're shelling out 25 million for him this season. He's not going anywhere.

And to add insult to injury, they lost to the farking White Sox, who royally stink on ice this year, as any White Sox fan will tell you.

his suspension however is without pay, which given his contracts terms, is a whole farkload of money.

Pfft. They are clearly poised to make a late-season run at the division title.

In 2018. If we're lucky.

1 for 4 is considered bad?  I would've assumed that was average or normal. I know .300 is his normal average, but in games with only 4 at bats, you're either 1 for 4 or 2 for 4 if your average is in the .300's and 1 for 4 will be much more common, wouldn't it?

Not unless he's banned, kind of glad he's not gone since that helps the Yankees but he deserved it if they could remotely prove he tampered with evidence and the people.

I actually agree with this.

Ultimately it was the manager's decision to play him.

Why make that choice? You are just feeding the circus

Because 3B for the Yankees this season is 29th or 30th in EVERY. OFFENSIVE. CATEGORY.

I'm confused. I thought Yankee fans were against booing or is that only when Royals fans boo Cano? As for A-Rod, why does he deserve a longer suspension than Braun? This is smelling like a conspiracy to rid the Yankees of his contract. Fark that. The Yankees knew he had done them before when he signed that ridiculous deal. Even during his suspension it should go to charity and not back to the Yankees.

Your solution is a paid vacation for A-Rod while the team sacrifices a roster spot?

God forbid they use one of their 5 outfielders at 3rd right?

Before getting Granderson back.. again.. and trading for Soriano, both of which happened in the past couple of weeks, the outfielders were Vernon Wells, Brett Gardner, Ichiro and Zoilo Almonte.

Who would you put at 3B?

I mean, if they absolutely need to find room for his 242/287/369 bat, they can do that.  I saw him play a bit of 3b this year already.

I haven't heard anything in particular that's wrong with him currently.. I think this was just The Binder writing the lineup tonight

You probably want Granderson in there for defense anyway, but Chris Sale is real, real, real tough on lefties.

Really kinda hoping Kuroda doesn't retire, and re-signs.

heh, standings oddity in the AL East after today's games..
the Red Sox have a 1.5 game lead over the Rays.. but the Rays have a 4.5 game lead over the Os.. who have a 4.5 game lead over the Yanks.. who have a 4.5 game lead over the Jays
