Ladies, look, it's cool that you took an exorcism class, but let's be serious for a minute here. At least 3 of you are wasting your talents with this voodoo bullshiat. Pink and purple, you can leave now. The rest of you need to put those things away before you break a nail.

Come with me and take off your clothes. It's very important. It's kind of like a purification ritual, so you can't be wearing anything. Come along now.

Let's not go the route of sexualizing these young women. Especially Pink, who, judging by the way she holds the cross isn't comfortable touching or wrapping her fingers around anything.

It would be great if their documentary turned into a paranormal activity or the last exorcism.  For just once I wish satan and demons are real just so they can mess these girls up.

clothing is 'man-made' and all men are 'sinners'... therefore, all clothing represents the most disgusting and vile aspects of the human condition... we were brought into being in the garden of eden completely naked and that is what we must return to... then we must purify ourselves in the waters of lake Minnetonka... or a hot tub, whichever is closest... then we'll need to rub each other's bodies with warm oil... like they did in the bible... yeah... here let me 'anoint' you with this baby oil... now you, with the red hair... why don't you 'anoint' me with some oil... yeah, start there... it pleases the lord...it says so in the bible...

Seriously, 2013 and people in the United States, not just people, but apparently well off literate people still believe you can be possessed by a demon?  I would expect this of somebody that can't read in some third world dirt hole, bit this is ridiculous.

Well, they had to go to the Ukraine to sell it. And, though Ukraine ain't a third world hellhole, they are superstitious.

The Catholic Church, with some of the most intelligent and literate people on the planet still hold that there is such a thing as demonic possession.

(Of course, they also hold it is extraordinarily rare, not to be confused with mental illness, and should never be publicized)

The Devil really gets a bad rap. He doesn't do all that much in the Bible, yet they attribute all this horror movie crap in his name. He sure as hell didn't kill a fraction of the number of people God did, if he killed anyone at all. He should get his legion of loyal attorneys and sue these people for slander.

Most of the idea of satan or the devil is promoted by the interpretation and writings of St Augustine.  If you really thing about it, protestant  fundamentalists shouldn't really believe in a devil as we think of it at all.

Well you can't really prove a negative so I can't show my work but I'll just say that I'd bet anything that I have that there aren't actual demons. As for being boring, don't demons go after boring people? Like nice little girls or priests? What would be the use in possessing Charles Manson?

How is this kind of psychological abuse any different that letting an untreated schizophrenic raise kids to believe all of his/her delusions? Would that be OK?

Because we know about and have cataloged every phenomenon and form of life and entity in the universe, have explained everything, and have conclusively proven that all that exists is what we can measure. Guess science is finished and no more need to continue to research and study things, since there surely isn't anything left that we don't understand and can't explain.

/how nice it must be to be so sure of the nature of everything.

That's a good point. Someone claims to talk to God or is in touch with demons. Where's the line between respecting their religious beliefs and throwing them into a padded cell? We have grown men and women who claim that God told them to run for President and they want the launch codes. How is that taken seriously or at least shaken off but I tell Mila Kunis that God wants her to sleep with me and they throw me into Arkham?

I suppose that depends on the definition of "demon".  Are "Demons" in the biblical sense real? Probably not. That's not to say that there aren't unexplained phenomena or beings that exist outside of our perceived plane of reality that like to fark with us much the same as we like to fark with cats using laser pointers.

Personally, i choose not to rule anything out until we've absolutely proven it to be false (or true).  For example: is there life on other planets? Probably. We don't have any conclusive proof to the positive or negative, so, I choose not to assume that that means a negative. (Assuming everything to be false unless proven true kind of biases one against looking for new things because they probably don't exist.

I think the courts would lean towards the demons' side in these disputes. Isn't possession nine tenths of the law?

I think the difference is between being passive about it and active. Saying that you had a message from god is a passive statement that you took something as a sign based on your religious beliefs that you should achieve something. God told me to lose weight. How he "told" me is the cause for question.

It's sort of like the age-old joke: It's not a problem that you talk to god. It's when god starts talking back that you should start worrying.

I would contend that the life on other planets thing is just mathematics. The universe is, well it might as well be infinite as far as our puny human brains can comprehend. And we've found evidence of water right in our own system of nine (eight, Pluto, that was messed up) planets and their moons. So although we don't have proof right now, the idea that we are completely alone in this near infinite universe is ludicrous. The same logic doesn't really apply to the existence of demons and ghosts and things that we created in our mythology.
