You guys do realize that Limbaugh is one of the biggest Apple fans, right?

Interesting that Limbaugh's persecution complex extends beyond politics to something as mundane as the gadgets he owns.

LectertheChef: Skwrl: So, if I read it right, the RNC is "locked down and not open to alternative approaches", which the DNC is "buggy but open".

Is that what he's saying?

(Don't whine at me, Apple fans, I'm writing this on a Hackbook - homebuilt running OSX - and own an iPhone.)

Don't forget more expensive than they're worth, pretty packaging, but nothing new on the inside, and it never holds up as well as the alternatives.

Different strokes for different folks, but as someone whose owned Mac, Asus, Acer, Dell and HP machines (I work in QA, so I need a little of everything), I can tell you that the Macs definitely hold up better. The Windows machines aren't even in the same ballpark. I've never had a Mac that had anything go wrong with it until at least 4 years in, and even then it's usually been the hard drive, on which I put a lot of mileage. I replace it, and the machine does just fine for at least 2-3 more years. I've only ever replaced one Mac (I've owned 6) out of hardware necessity.

/oh, man, I've just become that guy in this thread, haven't I?

And an even bigger fan of confirmation bias. Here those two things just happen to overlap for him.

That. He's been singing the praises of Apple since the early 1990's, as I remember.

Which is why Obama just basically screwed Samsung to give the competitive edge to Apple in the worst decision Obama has made so far as president.

TheGhostofFarkPast: I don't think bloggers hate Apple they just know what is click bait. I have seen so many articles on google news from tech bloggers who don't even know the technology they are writing about going on about how much they hate a product which they don't even understand. HuffPo is a good place for this kind of junk. I think most tech bloggers know if you get an Apple Vs Android fight going you will bring in the clicks and they move toward that for revenue. Most of these articles are fluff pieces or wild rumors about the next igadget just to get people in the door.

Yeah, there are blogs who'll run a "17 Reasons Why Apple Is Doomed!" piece for cheap clicks, but they'll also run anti-Google or anti-Microsoft pieces for the same reason. Controversy gets clicks.
