What, no Harry Kim?

Harry Kim was supposed to bite it at the end of season 3, not Kes (or maybe in addition to Kes). But, Garrett Wang made People's top 100 sexiest people list or something like that, and was spared so he could do nothing for 4 more seasons.

The character of Dr. Camille Saroyan on Bones was supposed to die several episodes into season 2, but the producers decided to keep her on.

Tough to imagine BSG without Helo. He was the one character in the entire series to have zero ambiguity... was someone else originally going to be the moral compass?

I was really glad they didn't kill off his character.

Boyd Crowder is only the latest psycho done by the ultra-talented Walton Coggins. His role made the last season of "The Shield" entertaining to the last moment.

Also, wasn't Omar Little not supposed to survive the first season of The Wire?

Huh. I kind of like the idea of a Jack-less Lost. Like the idea of a Kate-less lost more but w/e.

Gigi edgly is really nice. Had a good conversation with her, Wayne pigrim and Lana tupu about 6 years ago at emerald city comic con. I was getting autographs for my busy that collects sci-fi autographs.

/their handler was getting food so they couldn't sign
//had a solid 10 minutes to discuss local restauaurnt options with Gigi, Wayne's musical endeavors and say hi to lani. Wayne was really cool, he was like the old guy in the bar to guide your d&d quest :)

Not just that, but he became one of the most important characters for the overall story arc.

I don't think you can count La-La. Even though he died in the first book I have not heard anything about Ball wanting to kill him off in the first season.

I loved hill street blues. Did that ever come out on DVD?

/I was a kid when it was on and my mom didn't want me to watch it because my dad was a cop. I did anyway. I used to day I couldn't sleep and watch it with her.

Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) in Season 3 of Heroes. In Cold Snap, Danko was originally going to put a bullet in the back of her head in human form, killing her character permanently (and with no intention of bringing in the other triplet). Instead Bryan Fuller gave her a major power upgrade.

They decided to keep him in the show early during filming season 1 seeing how good he was. The funny part is even the actor who plays him thought he was going to die at the end of the season.

Ball told the actor that he decided to keep Lafayette in the cast after shooting a scene between Ellis and Rutina Wesley, who plays Lafayette's cousin, Tara, in the pilot episode. Ellis and Wesley have combustive chemistry for sure, which Ellis attributes to their long friendship.

Tara on the other hand I wish they'd kill off.

Couldn't imagine Justified without Boyd Crowder. And you are correct about the last season of The Shield. The way Walton Goggins humanized the Shane character was really impressive. I know it was written that way but he just put a lot of soul into it.

/been down with Walton Goggins since he played that simpleton in The Apostle
//met him in the airport in Atlanta. Cool cat.

I didn't think so, but I can be wrong. I thought he was one of the 3 men hired to persuade the legislators. It was a pretty small part.

No mention of Spike from Buffy?  He was just supposed to be the big bad of season two, and die off quickly, but James Marsters was all sorts of charming and awesome so they kept Spike alive, only to see him become a regular in the 4th season and onward.

Well to be honest when they couldn't pull the trigger on Sylar (that was the villain right?) you knew the show was going to be crap. On top of the major power creep of Sylar and Peter.

I think it was the beginning of the second book. But I read the first 6 or so all in one go so they kind of mixed together for me.

Oh sweet lord Tara needed to die and stay dead. It was cruel of them to shoot her as a cliffhanger and then bring her back. It's just not nice to tease us like that.
