It's highly amusing to see Mizzou run from being irrelevant in one conference to be irrelevant in another conference.

hughesrep: Ann Arbor is a whore

I figured we wouldn't see this sort of post, given that none of the Buckeye fans will be in here, since they know Columbus is nowhere on that list.

Dafatone: Fayetteville looked pretty nice the one night I spent there.

Boulder's... kind of a cliche in itself.  Having lived there a while, it's pretty great, but it's frustrating if you have any sort of legitimate problems to have a slew of happy beautiful people tell you to try being happier and more beautiful.

Yeah, I went to CU and lived in Boulder for 11 years total. It's beautiful, it's a great college experience but the town itself is insular. I like the progressive feel of the city but you will inevitably run into several douchebags who will put their ashram on hold and step out of their SUV to tell somebody paper sucks and they need to bring their OWN bags to Whole Foods. Hey 40-something woman who married rich and is deciding on whether to have an affair with the hedge-fund manager down the street...please keep the traffic moving, okay?

Boulder and Madison?  Definitely.  Ann Arbor?  Yes.

Hell, I'll even give them Gainesville (and I'm a Nole).

But the rest of those are shiatholes.  College Station?  Fayetteville?  Were Detroit and East St Louis not available?

Austin's not really a college town anymore. It's a large city w/ a major university in it. Not unlike Seattle or Minneapolis. It's sorta sad in some respects.

That said, Austin is a zillion, trillion times better than the post-apocalyptic, festering boil on the ass cheek of Earth that College Station currently is. If College Station is in the Top 10, what else did they omit?

The University of Fallujah?
Iraq Tech?
Central Somalia State?
Wayne State University?
