Beautiful pics, Soosh.

And I freakin' love this song.

Mr. Murder: Here is something odd. There is a cat hovering in the men's bathroom at the bar here. He seems perfectly happy and healthy, but it's floating about 4 feet off the ground next to the sink. Doesn't seem to be able to move from it's current hover spot.

Maybe he's there so you can dry your hands. Don't forget to tip him after.

and then I went back to the harbor with my good camera rather than my cell phone

I'll have what you're having

I just hope the cat isn't hovering over his head in the men's room.  If Murder's looking up at it, that's a scene I don't want to see.

Wow, early death and new life, kind of poetic.

Soosh, have you ever gotten out to see what's left of WWII installations in Alaska? Those make for some great photos.

I just got here and holy sh*t did I come in on the right song. I love this song. It makes my toes curl.

So you're saying he isn't smoking a pipe and sitting on a mushroom? Don't worry he will be soon.

You know in one of his books Tim Leary said he had the Beatles write this song originally for his election to Governor of California,

I have seen some, mostly on Kodiak Island.  I haven't been up to the remains of them over in Sitka, or up in Nome, or out in the Aleutians.  When I was on Kodiak, I dropped my camera in the airport right before the flight and it wouldn't power on, had to send it in for repair.

But it's definitely on my list of things to do.  I eventually want to do a book called Abandoned Alaska.

Is this normally hidden on TF?  I'm trying to figure out how I've been missing out.  Might need to pony up (OMG, what have I said?) This is awesome, soosh!

Odd coincidence.  The last couple of daysI've been mulling and pricing a run up to Juneau this fall.

Love me some New Order.  :-)

indeed it is.  While putting this set together I was kind of surprised by how much it mirrors the classic Tiger Rag.

nice. I'm hoping I can still get files off of my damaged hard drive next week. It had a lot of photos of old military installations around michigan, a few not so abandoned missile bases in the U.P. and along the Lake Huron coast, as well as some items left over from the old mining and logging camps from the very early 1900s.

Well, except for those bennies.

Man, did we ever kick ass at our gym class badminton tournament though, for that one day, at least.

He was arrested on reentering California from Mexico with a few seeds in the car. (Supposedly) Ronald Reagan won the Governors race after Leary had to withdraw.Leary did have a docterate and actually did some interesting studies unless you're just the total anti drugs and I heard he was bad type.
