There once was a time when the news divisions were considered a public service and they aspired to something higher than ratings and tabloidism.

The controversy machine is much bigger than the reality machine. That's the world we live in. Reality has nothing to do with it.

Why link to an article with no photo or video of the TV news guy.Because corporate-sellout-fark has to keep their revenue stream moving. One way to accomplish that goal is by being paid to link to the huffpo.
