The_Y2P_Problem: Errk: God hates bastards

No shiat.  He had this one nailed to a farking cross for crying out loud.

I don't always LOL (literally) when reading posts, but I like to give a shout out when I do.

Stories like this make me believe that IF there is a God, then it's the kind of God that Deism described....A God that is kind of like a watchmaker.  Built the whole thing, flicked the on switch and then just sat back and watched it go....

Amazing how many farkers claim not to believe in God but when a story like this hits they instantly blame God for the illness of the child.

If you don't believe, Why not blame your science for its inability to cure these illnesses. Wait that's right scientist would rather be working on the next boner bill or hair grown formula.

Way to go science for killing this kid.

No ceremony needed.  They already did for better and for worse.

I was fine until I saw that the kid was born two days before my own son.

Please show your data concerning the farkers that don't believe in god that are blaming god for this.

Don't be daft. Science has no will. If god exists, then he is omnipotent and has will. And if he exists and wills 2 year olds to die of cancer when his omnipotence could prevent it then he can kiss my ass.

Those two must be deeply in love if they need a dying kid as a reason to get married.

Aren't we all dying?

so you don't want a God that gives free will you want a God that controls everything including all that you do.  Please remember In the beginning there was none of the evil that we now have but leave it to man to screw up Paradise.

OgreMagi: mekki: Dude, He wiped out a whole generation in one night.

"He" didn't just wipe out a whole generation in one night.  He wiped out a generation of completely innocent babies and children because he was annoyed with someone.  That's certainly not the actions of a rational and loving higher power.  For something that supposedly has a grand design and unlimited power, he sure has a limited schtick.

Don't forget the Pharaoh was going to let the Jews go but god stopped him.

He's so wee, he looks like an infant :(

OgreMagi: It's stories like this one that reaffirms my belief that either god does not exist or he serves no useful purpose.  If a "grand plan" requires babies anybody to suffer and die, then your grand plan is shiat.

how about we bring this thread back to what a wonderful, beautiful and yet extremely sad story.

fta:

Swidorsky's daughter, Isabella Johns, 13, served as bridesmaid and the couple's 1-year-old daughter, Savannah, was her parents' flower girl.

I do hope they got some wonderful photos/prints from the wedding.

What a silly argument. You might as well use that same argument for death. That God wills no one ever die, 2 yr old or not...in that case the population of the Earth would be like over 100 billion or more. Do you want to live forever?

What part of the Bible was that in? Because I don't recall that at all.

Exodus 9:12, then reiterated in Romans 9:17-18.

I'm not blaming god.  I'm blaming random chance.  It makes far more sense that bad things happen randomly than to assign control of the universe to some invisible sky wizard.

I just use stories like this to tell people the god they believe in is a twisted, evil, fark.

I prefer to assign those attributes to Satan and his minions.
