I think only old people and religious folks use that term.

I was flower girl for my parents wedding.

Granted, they were married in a civil ceremony before I was born. They just wanted to wait until they were financially stable to have the huge traditional wedding with all the trappings.

/Read TFA
//Damn onions, making my eyes water....

2013-08-03 11:43:40 PM
How dare they have sex before marriage. What gives them the right?

2013-08-03 11:44:18 PM

Errk: God hates bastards

That's why they tricked him.
God is such a total sucker for these scams.

Probably gave a more coherent toast than the last wedding I attended.

No shiat.  He had this one nailed to a farking cross for crying out loud.

But his dad totally knocked up some chick who was already married to another dude, so he had it coming.

I do have the sad however why would you want to have another kid right after the one you just had got diagnosed with  acute myeloid leukemia?

FTA:  "This is our dream come true," Swidorsky said through tears, the Post-Gazette reported.

Not exactly how I'd have drawn it up, but hey, different strokes.

I read this yesterday, and got mad at this whole mortal coil crap. Tfa said something like 2 year old learned of illness or something. I got more mad. May this child not suffer, please.

Perfect thing to do. Remember him forever. Godspeed.

It's stories like this one that reaffirms my belief that either god does not exist or he serves no useful purpose.  If a "grand plan" requires babies to suffer and die, then your grand plan is shiat.

His dad found them. The kid's two years old, for crying out loud.

And after that helluva night, he'll die a MAN.

2013-08-04 01:02:04 AM
I saw this story yesterday - it made all of my problems seem trivial and insignificant. Poor little guy...

2013-08-04 01:02:34 AM
Sonofabiatch.  At what point do we say enough it enough?  fark profit, kill cancer?  I swear to christballs people need to start offing the board of directors.

2013-08-04 01:02:54 AM
I'll tell someone this is the sort of thing that makes me doubt the existence of God and then they will throw back something like "this little boy died to teach us all a lesson". OH OK, gotcha, God made this little boy suffer so everyone else can all realize to cherish each other and shiat. Makes sense.

Dude, He wiped out a whole generation in one night. You think one toddler is going to make Him go, "Whoa. I need to rethink things."

As far as the grand plan being "shiat", I think a better term would be "Insane" because fark all if it makes any sense to anyone down here.

I hate cancer. I hate it so bad. I wish cancer could catch cancer and die a horrible death. This kid should be enjoying the fark out of his little life and looking to being a grownup, but no, cancer.

Second. If God does exist, I'm going to give him a farking earful and explain how he's a shiatty God with all that power he doesn't use for the good things.

2013-08-04 01:12:10 AM
ok, of all the "dusty" articles, this one is waaaay up there on the dusty and depressing scale. That poor kid... meanwhile we get to feed and cloth and house Ariel Castro for life plus 1,000 years - how much is that going to cost !!? billions probably.

I would prefer a god to be more rational than a spoiled two year old (paraphrasing a Heinlein quote).

the daughter was conceived ~3 months after the son was born. another way to think about it is the daughter was conceived 9 months before the son was diagnosed

mekki: Dude, He wiped out a whole generation in one night.

"He" didn't just wipe out a whole generation in one night.  He wiped out a generation of completely innocent babies and children because he was annoyed with someone.  That's certainly not the actions of a rational and loving higher power.  For something that supposedly has a grand design and unlimited power, he sure has a limited schtick.

2013-08-04 01:26:41 AM
Oh, no.....me haz a sad now.

This just goes to show you how love is really what is important in life.

Popcorn Johnny: 30,000 kids die every day from starvation or preventable disease.

And that's just in Detroit.

Know what would be a good lesson?  Giving some evil fark an extremely painful and slow fatal illness.  Someone like Robert Mugabe.  Other evil farks would see that and might think, "maybe I should dial it down a little."  Nope, it's always some completely innocent child who never hurt anyone that has to suffer.

It's always a good idea to have kids first and then get married.

Crappiest bachelor party I've ever been to.

Mark Ratner: Popcorn Johnny: 30,000 kids die every day from starvation or preventable disease.

And that's just in Detroit.

From all the headlines recently, I find it hard to believe that 30,000 people still live in Detroit. Isn't it a ghost town selling houses for a dollar, trying to attract back a population? I imagine one day people will tke tours of detroit like they do chernobyl. A ghost town abandond in a day, a testament to the folly of man.

/now I have to go watch planet of the apes
