What if you grab a few people? Do you get to keep them?

And we're the SMART animals.

Relatively Obscure: And we're the SMART animals.

Now what makes you think that?

The elite of the shallow and horrible.

I've never seen so many women fight over Wang before.

Because America is the greatest, bestest country God ever made on the face of the earth?

The white god, not that brown skinned guy.

Well, okay.  We're SUPPOSEDLY the smart ones.

I'd have gone King Solomon on the clothes while they were fighting over them.

Now if all the clothes were infected with smallpox this would be a much happier story.

Some women can't get enough Wang

2013-08-02 09:33:05 PM
I would pick pockets & lift jewelry off those crazed woman (they would never know) then use the money to buy exactly what I wanted.

And the video, directed by Jawbreaker director Darren Stein, is made all the more humorous by the dramatic classical music playing in the background.

Yeah... just because a piece of music has a string section, that doesn't make it "classical".

2013-08-02 09:36:12 PM
How are these people not ashamed of themselves?

2013-08-02 09:36:30 PM
I am not a violent man, but i could see myself handing out wedgies to those people until my arms were bloody, useless stumps.

I think it was funk, mixed with some Morricone elements... has anyone seen RZA?

For the want of a few buckets of Sharpie ink and a Supersoaker. Could have made this stunt perfect.

Ugh.  They should have locked the doors and gone all Triangle Shirtwaist Factory on them.

Sounded like a bit of Vide Cor Meum.

The Magic Christian? I wasn't aware a film version was made; quality pegs it in the late 70s-mid 80s?

I've always maintained if money were suddenly a non-issue for me, I'd do that kind of thing.

Like hand out vodka bottles full of water to kids on the street.

That would be my plan.  Grab the two hottest girls an hang on tight.

Apparently this is a real thing and not a social experiment.  I'd bet if you filled the room with nondescript clothes with high priced tags and told everyone they were Erica Beauregard's new fall line you were giving away for free the frenzy wouldn't be any less

Why do you think they invented Kickstarter? Get moving!

I'd probably get sued out of existence after someone is stabbed to death with a pair of stiletto heels.

As it turns out, if you get a big group of humans together and tell them it's OK to act badly, they'll act terribly. I honestly think the companies that set the stage for events like this or Black Friday trampling deaths are the real animals. We know humans behave like animals in certain circumstances - so stop setting them up for it!

Incorporate as an LLC. File for bankruptcy and do the same thing next week.

Why?  I enjoy watching these things from the comforts of my own home.  I would donate 25$ to watch something like this live.

/brb, making a call to Fox.

Cut off the heels and buff down the saw marks. Who has time to look at details when there's FREE CLOTHES?

If there were ever a film in need of a reboot/remake...update the gags with the technological/social media twist. Gold.

This is the kind of shiat I just don't understand.  It's an entire rack of the exact same shirt, but they're going to get into a fight over the  one in the middle.  What a pair of vapid biatches.

It's all fun and games until...
We can point and laugh at these people for going nuts about free clothes, but now imagine these folks x1,000,000 if they run out of food and water. Doesn't matter where or why, L.A., NYC, Chicago, Houston...earthquakes, hurricanes, powergrid failure.
One of these days...

2013-08-03 03:28:46 AM
I love how the article was all "Look at how much people love our brand of designer clothes!"

Fill a room with electronics, fancy food, cans of gasoline, alcohol, dollar bills, etc and tell them that anything they can grab is theirs for FREE, I'd think the result would be pretty similar: brawling, slapping, stealing from others, and ultimately complete devastation of the room.

Shrug. I'm a man who doesn't care about high end womens fashion but I see basically a room full of free money - apparently this stuff is in enough demand that people will get into a fist fight over it. Flip that stuff on an auction site for an easy profit. If I was there I might get aggressive about grabbing the crap too.
