Hmm, a nice quadcopter with a home-made paint sprayer (use all those channels your 9XR has) should do the trick as well.

now all you have to do is get the 'scary looking apparatus' within effective range without being surveilled. good luck with that.

Paintball gun.

I wonder if I could use a 3D printer to make one of those?

Oh,your "right to privacy when in public" has been disturbed...poor little snowflake, how dare anyone be able to watch you and possibly make you accountable for your actions in public!
Problem is that when you are caught destroying this camera, the cops can kick your ass and there will be no video of it because you just destroyed what would have been your evidence against those evil cops, because you just protected their "right to to be unaccountable for actions in public" as well.

I have wondered about using those high powered green laser pointers to cook the CCD in those cameras.

Does anybody remember the guy that killed his neighbors that lived upstairs because their dog kept shiatting & pissing on him from the balcony? With a little modification with bear spray things could have ended up differently.

These.

We would also have accepted "tesla coil" or "big picture of the scenery taped to the lens".

Until you get it aimed correctly, it'll have a pretty good view of you. You could always try wearing a hat with a bunch of UV LEDs on it though:

There is a speed cam by me that I wish someone would do something to. I've never sped by it but coming from the other direction when another car is speeding by late at night I get a machine gun like flash in my face. Scared the crap outta me the first few times.

Brought to you by the same farking idiots who think Microsoft has nothing better to do than to watch you sit on your couch through your Kinect.

Walking around town with that wouldn't be suspicious at all. Nope, not at all.

That makes me wonder. Would a license plate frame with UV LEDs block traffic cams from getting your plate number?

Same here. They park a van illegally (On the sidewalk, which they aren't supposed to do, and I've only seen a warning sign once, which they are required to set up) on a street I drive often. I never speed down that street, I'm blinded by their terrawatt bulbs fairly regularly when it hits someone near me for 32 in a 30. Nothing quite like near complete blindness while rolling up to a stoplight on a curve.

Or you could wear a hat and sunglasses.

Rubber gloves and the quick wrench that fits the wire cover plate on the bottom.

/Until the suckers weld it shut, then you try the next pole and its plate for the circuit.
//Then time to get out the gas powered steel cutting saw(to be used in gang controlled areas only).

I wonder if my Parrot.AR has the capability to lift something like that. I doubt it.

Big hat, keep your head down, never look up.  On the hat, place a ring of high power
UV LED's.

IR LEDs, not UV.

There is a movable filter in front of the image sensor (aka exchanger), one half of it blocks IR (for daylight mode), the other blocks visible light (for night mode). So this trick will work only when the camera is in night mode.

I'm not quite there yet myself. Recently got distracted by RC boats. But I know someone with a large quad with all the options on it... Gyros, GPS, FPV, etc... Just a question of getting a gimbal mount and whipping up a Dollar Store water pistol with paint, or maybe getting an airbrush set up somehow.
