Ehhh, looks even more over the top than the first one. Not sure if that will be a good thing or a bad thing.

And just because it should be shown in every thread regarding Machete

The Mexican version of Chuck Norris?  Does he say really stupid, derpy things about  Enrique Peña Nieto?

2013-08-02 01:12:48 PM
Does he just stand in a post war, burned out parking lot of Lowe's saying "Hey man, can you tell me where i can get any gas, man? I, like need gas for my car, man. There isn't any gas around here, man. I've looked. I looked over there and I looked over there. A guy came by and said you might know where some gas is, man. Man, I need some gas. I am desperate for gas. Even just a little gas. I could ride over wit cho, get the gas and you could drive me back here. That would help, man. Gas. I need gas."

Back to photos of the hot chick all growed up.

So much awesomeness.  It's like The Expendables, but with more Sofia Vergara.

I love me some Machete.  Can't wait.

Danny Trejo is the freakin' man and these movies are so over the top funny/ridiculous that it is hard not to love him.

I saw some interview with him once where he told a story about how, early in his career, he had a scene where he had to bust into a room brandishing a gun and threating the people there.  He did it and was absolutely terrifying.

The directory asked him where he learned acting (not knowing that Trejo is an actual ex-convinct) and Trejo replied something like "7-11.  Circle K."

Had to post this on Collider, they apparently don't get it. I know Farkers do ;-)

If you don't 'get' what RR is about (all of his movies), let me 'splain it to you: It's cartoon violence. It's a live action Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote movie. The whole POINT is to ratchet things up into the absurd. NOBODY should take it seriously or confuse it with great movie making - purely escapist movie fare. Or, as fans like to call it - Gun Porn.

I'm voting bad.  It does look too over the top.  Danny Trejo is awesome but after watching that trailer I have no desire to see that movie and I actually bought the first Machete movie on DVD which really says something because I don't buy a lot of DVDs.

Trejo, you have jumped the shark.  You probably kicked its teeth out while you did it, but this does not look good.

Hrrrm... wanna like it but it looks a teensy bit Austin Powers III.

Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba and Lady Gaga. With Machete. I'm done...

 Som
I felt the same way about Expendables. It's a great movie to watch with your brain turned off, but you'll be disappointed if you try to take any of it seriously.

This. Mostly because

Danny Trejo doesn't take himself seriously.
Nobody takes Chuck Norris seriously.

I just watched another interview with him where he's talking about trying to do his love scene with Amber Heard.  Every time the director yells "Action!" Amber is laughing.  Finally the director asks what's so funny.

Amber:  "Because Danny won't stop saying 'Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus!'"

You Israeli people sure hold a grudge. But I bet you still voted for one or both George Bush, considering their family line supplied Hitler with all sorts of war stuff.

Holy crap, I didn't even recognize her without her normal blonde hair.

She looks even hotter with the dark hair!

love trejo, and i love mockbusters. but RR movies shoot for "good" (reservoir dogs), miss the target, scream past "bad" (kill bill, vol 2), then ricochet off "so bad, it's good" (sharknado) to finally lodge into a slab of "just awful".

at least tarantino's latest fare, as bad as they have been, can at least be accepted as campy homages by a film geek.

but RR is to film-making what the WWE is to sport.

Obviously not geek enough to know the entire Kill Bill series is directed by Quentin Tarantino, Not R-Rod. Same goes for Reservoir Dogs. Sharknado is not ever a blockbuster, but a made-for-tv movie by Anthony C. Ferrante.Wish to know what Robert Rodriguez directed?
