A game from the day before went extra innings past midnight, and the Red Sox walked off; then the next game happened to have the same thing only it didn't go past midnight? WOW STOP THE PRESSES!

That is the kind of cynicism I have come to expect here.

and out there, some crazy bastard has the stat of how many times it's happened in MLB history, when the last one was, and who was on base.

Along with the missed call at home, if this happened in the postseason, the last three games would be epic.

He's probably in a basement somewhere, and he's probably been down there about as long as those girls in Cleveland.

You know, I like baseball as much as the next guy. I consider myself a fan. Go to a few games a year. Buy the kids some knick knacks. I watch most of the games on TV. I even have two(!) team hats.

What I don't get is this current batch of BoSox fans. And by current I mean post 2004. They're outright slavish in their attachment to this team. It's a religion to them. It's their entire identity. They follow them around the AL East like hippies followed the Dead - except the Dead fans smelled better. And they're the most obnoxious, boorish 'fans' of the game. It's been particularly unbearable ever since July 24 - all pink hat sycophants and Pedrioa apostles have to wipe His jizz of their chins with their new 'n clean # 15 jersey. Total farking asswipes, the entire lot of 'em. I eagerly await their collective meltdown again this September.

Too many, trust me. Generally just a faulty strain of humans.

Yes it has been going on since 2004 with all the die-hard fans representing the "nation". They all took last year off however which goes to show what kind of people you're really dealing with here

Pedroia seems to have claimed #WalkOffCity on twitter.  This would be exciting if I could stay awake for every single game, but that's just not working, I'm getting to about half or a third of them.  I'd prefer if Pedroia and the Red Sox could claim #FirstInningTenRunsCity
It will help my sleep.  Plus, sometimes teams have good closers.

I know, right?

This team is still WAY better than than the previous couple of years. At one point I was going to juggle my schedule to see if we were going to tie the longest losing streak in AL history. We had a real shot at it, too.

I am super surprised that the Yanks didnt make a run for him yet

Exactly. Let me know when they've done three in a row & they all come off the long ball.

They aren't letting Felix go anywhere any time soon, otherwise they'd have pulled the trigger & not given him a new contract.

As for the post-all star break collapse - relax, there's still plenty of time for that.
