I remember when this came out and luckily, waited for others to tell me it was horrible.  If the studio, given the same budget, had used Frank Miller's backstory, they would have made a serious profit at the box office - you still get the women empowering with a nice controversial theme.

I saw NO pictures of her tits.

I know this will sound weird, but, while I can see that Halle is an attractive woman, I'm not attracted to her. There's something off-putting about her.

There are only two remarkable things about that movie, and even they aren't worth it, since you see them bare in another movie.

Halle looked good in the costume and for a cartoon/comic movie, I left my brain out of it and didn't see it as bad as the hip people did.

This is not a list of remarkable things about the movie, this is a list of things that happened in the movie that helped contribute to it being shiatty.

Unless the commentary is supposed to be about how remarkably shiatty these things managed to make the movie.

People that liked comics before it was popular to like comics...

But then again, the opposite is also true... people that like comics because it's mainstream to like comics...

When you consider that comics were in trouble, with many publishing houses opening only to close after a couple of years... and now thanks to the movies and such it's more popular than ever.

I remember comic conventions being attended by a very distinct crowd, the conventions themselves being very small compared to today's "cons" where it would be sellers with tables after tables of only comics, while now, it's 100 times bigger with so much merchandise that the actual comic booths are few in between... never would someone be in costume then, and now, it's one of the main attractions.

So yeah... comics are "hip" and trendy.. the whole "geek chic"...

And to have people judge a comic book movie on some sort of high criteria is laughable...

But hey, it's all about feeling superior and part of the cool kids.

More popular than ever? Meaning sales drop so low every two years or so the big two companies have to sadly restart everything with new #1 issues to get sales back to a profitable level?

Also, there have almost always been two big companies, and a bunch of indie publishers that go out of business within a couple years... even back in the 1940s, when comics were popular. That's nothing new.

Louis Tussaud's Waxworks in niagara has a pretty darn nice version of Michelle Pfeiffer in catwoman's outfit. (pictured here, not my picture though)

Gotta say that if they used Michelle's body for the mold, she has an incredible butt... I never wanted to bring home a wax statue before...

Sales and popularity don't go hand in hand... many of the people going to the cons aren't there to buy comics...

There was a short boom in the early 90s, then everything went to hell until things picked up with the Burton Batman movies at first, but Spiderman and the Dark Knight movies (followed with the X-men, Iron man, etc.) and a larger prominence of manga, including females and them dressing up for these cons, are what made the industry return from the dead...

Of course sales of the actual comics aren't going to change all that much.  After 50 some years of stories, it's hard to go and start new stuff, and recycling the same characters over and over, gets old.

Why do you think that they are doing so many reboots of movies, franchises, etc...

But where once, you'd be in a room and no one but a comic book fan would know about certain characters, not even know the names...today, you'd have most people know who the character is.

Heck no woman would have been able to have a clue to who Wolverine was before the movies.

And no woman used to really want to go to a comic-con, and now...

Would have been better with Julie Newmar instead of Merriwhether, but at least it wasn't Eartha Kitt hamming it up (she was sexy as hell, too, but too corny even for THAT show).

Who would you guys call the WORST villain from the old show?  I'd say a toss-up between Egghead or Bookworm, but I would accept King Tut as well.

Here are the five OTHER remarkable things about this film that the author of this list missed:

1. Throughout the film, Halle Berry is wearing clothing. In fact, she wears several sets of it.
2. If you add the letters of the title C-A-T-W-O-M-A-N together, you get eight, which ALSO happens to be the same number of fingers Halle Berry owns, minus two.
3. Sharon Stone was in a movie called "Basic Instinct"; coincidentally, cats have instincts.
4. Both Sharon Stone and Halle Berry used the same "sexy walks" choreographer, Vanessa von Slinkenstein.
5. While the magical cat in the movie is named "Midnight," it is, ironically, NOT a black cat.

The only redeeming thing about that is Halle Berry accepting, in person, her Razzie for her role in it.

And I guess that reflects more on her than the film.
