(The Verge)   "Sharknado" sets a ratings record for Syfy on its third showing. Apparently it took two viewings for people to realize that they weren't so stoned that they imagined the whole thing   (theverge.com) divider line 21

Haven't seen it and I'm already sick of it.

Bslim: Haven't seen it and I'm already sick of it.

I flipped on thh second showing and scoffed.  "What's this?  Oh this is that stupid Sharknado movie.  *scoff*"

Long story short, an hour and a half later and I couldn't look away.  If Ian Zeiring, Tara Reid, or propane have any place in your heart at all, don't miss this one, friend.  Don't miss it.

Siffy was just starting to look into new original series programming, and now this stupid shark movie will kill it.

I swore to the gods I wouldn't watch this movie. Well, my buddy came over and insisted we watch it. It was the funniest piece of shiat I have ever seen, and i'm pretty sure it was not intended to be a comedy.

I'll take it under consideration then.

Yes because one stupid successful movie will ruin a network that currently has programming like "Deep South Paranormal" and "Joe Rogan High as fark Yo."

I mean I liked Defiance and eagerly await season 2, but its not like Sharknado is preventing the second coming of deep scifi or anything.

The best worst movie ever made.  Intentionally terrible in all aspects.  Which made it all the better because it totally got what it was going for.

It's showing in theaters on Friday at midnight (Saturday) for one time only.

Nope. Sharknado: The Series.

/Hey, they tried to do it for Highlander, The Dead Zone, and Batman.

I have four words for all of you - and SyFy, if you're listening.  Just remember, I said it here first.

Well, there is Helix coming up.

And they have seven other shows in various degrees of development right now. As unoriginal as some of it sounds, SyFy is still attempting original scripted science fiction programming.

I missed the premiere then recorded the second viewing.  I guess I didn't get it out of my PVR fast enough because it crapped out a week later.  Couldn't puke it out I guess.

still haven't seen how bad it was...

Highlander ran 5 or 6 years, and I think over 100 episodes.

Batman, if you are talking about the 60's TV series, ran for 3 years, was on twice a week for the first two, and also exceeded 100 episodes.

And it starred Adam West.

I have an idea:

They lurk the ocean
Bloodthirsty, and violent
We thought we were safe on land
WE ARE NOT

STREET SHARK
A Michael Bay movie

If you love movies so bad they're good I'd like to recommend this gem.  I bought it because at the time it was the lowest ranked movie on IMDB.  It's so bad I think it gave me cancer.

Sharknado starts slow, but the last 30 minutes is epic.

I want Zombie Sharks vs. Vampire Mermaids....

SyFy just think about it for a moment, what decent crap have they put out in the past 5 years? Were they not asking for fans to send in scripts recently? I'm not sure how many people are actually watching this channel, but I wouldn't put it past a few weirdos that are probably plotting to bomb high schools.

/You would think they play some Sci-fi movies or tv-series, but seriously every time i watch them for more then 15 minutes I feel like I am losing brain cells watching crap and I can do that watching FOX
