And the Royals' projected chances of playing a playoff game have soared to 2.8%.

This will definitely make George Brett crap his pants.

Again.

We have two months to go and still have five teams ahead of us for the last wild card spot, right? All that finishing above .500 is going to do otherwise is give Dayton Moore and Ned Yost contract extensions, which could actually hurt us in the long run.

It's awesome to still be watching meaningful baseball in August, don't get me wrong, but merely finishing above .500 is only an accomplishment for losing clubs.

FYI, the pirates own the best record in the majors.

/it's been long time since one could say that as we enter August.

The only way this season could be stranger is if the Cubs were in contention.

But what about the Yankees? Red Sox?

Why are we diverting our attention from the real stories?

Can't quote on mobile, but you gotta admit we are a losing team, lol

Only the Royals could go 10/12 and not make up any ground in the division.

Jeez, Pirates lead the NL Central, Royals above .500...next thing you're gonna tell me is the Cubs are actually good.

...no?

...okay then.

Pirates vs Braves - NLCS for the next two years.

You know, just to kick off another two decades of Bucs futility.

Yeah but that would also mean the end times were near

Are they supposed to control Detroit going 9-1 in their last ten games?

If that happens, expect Cutch to grow 10 hat sizes after he's traded away

Totally KC's fault three of baseballs hottests teams are in the AL Central.
/ Above .500 this year

The Fifth Down wasn't Missouri's fault either, but it still happened.

True dat. My point was that you control what you can. Keep winning and eventually they will lose.
KC already has a winning record against the Tigers. We can keep that going.

Meanwhile, the only redeeming feature of this year's White Sox are that they aren't the Astros.

Looks like it'll be 2093 before they win another World Series. Of course, by then, the Cubs' last championship will STILL be 1908.

Even if it doesn't amount to anything, Dayton Moore is going to have a shiat-eating grin on his face when they hit 15 of 20.
