Submitter here! I don't have TotalFark so I had to hope to the Farklords that they would greenlight this. My friend Alyssa had a really bad fall and injured her neck, though I'm not sure all of the specifics on what exactly happened there. The neck injury caused her to have a moderately sever stroke. She does have insurance, but there are still going to be major medical bills after the hospital time and all of the rehab. She just got married a few months ago, so it's really difficult for her husband as well as the rest of her family, all of whom I am friends with. I've been lurking and occasionally posting here for years, it's sad that my first submitted link would have to come via this sort of incident. Much love all of you!
