Askren against Rick Story would also be a good fight, Koschek too.

One Bad Apple: Why the hell do you always caboose these threads the day after the fight ends ?

Because it bothers you.

I just read that the Tito vs Rampage joke is Pay Per View.. There better be 12 other really good fights on that card.

That was the plan all along, and it won't be the $19.95 variety. $50 (or so) to watch Tito and Rampage, with maybe Chandler blasting another guy not ranked in the top 30.

But here's why: it will solve Bellator's contract disputes, since they will now be able to go into court and say with a straight face that they're a PPV content provider.

the biggest redneck here: That was the plan all along, and it won't be the $19.95 variety. $50 (or so) to watch Tito and Rampage, with maybe Chandler blasting another guy not ranked in the top 30.

Bellator can't assemble a card worth close to $50, honestly the UFC rarely does, and those that are worth PPV price usually end up on cable.

Of course not, but they can use it to beat Alvarez and others in court when it comes to the matching clause once they are an actual PPV provider. The crux of what Alavarez (and soon to be others) is arguing is that Bellator can't actually "match" an offer by the UFC that calls for PPV points because they're not actually a producer of PPV content. This would solve that in the eyes of most judges.

This whole charade may be as much *or more* about future contracts than making money off this single fight.
