"This isolation can lead to health problems, physical or mental, and yet it is proven that the practical focus and camaraderie available from within a shed, can address these issues most positively.

Translation: Gay men need love too. Why not do it from the safety of what amounts to a closet?

"We shall welcome men of all ages with the focus being on those needing or just looking to enjoy social interaction and friendship, combined with a real sense of purpose and achievement."

Translation: We won't judge you. Reach-arounds offered.

The members will help to build the workbenches and will decorate the shed themselves once the initial plumbing and electrics have been professionally installed.

We are working to install bondage machines and have working vibrators.

Funding, membership fees and what activities the group will do in the shed will be discussed at a general meeting on Tuesday August 13.

Orgy on Tuesday.

Since when to men need an organization to hang out in garages and drink beer?

Americans clearly don't understand the relationship between a middle-aged man and his shed.

And as soon as it becomes a going concern, and men start to business network in the organization, and organize events and such, women will start to sue to force entry because the men have "unfair advantages" just like the London men's clubs. Britain doesn't have the constitutional protections the US has, so the men will get sued for discrimination and have to end it. Cycle time: ten years.

/came for the Two Sheds, leaving satisfied

Thought this was a joke on the Women in Refrigerators trope.

I like Two Sheds Jackson better.

Don't laugh, this is already a big thing in Australia

As long as the activities don't involve shedding their clothes it should be legit

Well there was a man
Lived in a shed
Spent most of his days out of his head
For his shed was rotten let in the rain
Said it was enough to drive any man insane

/And when it rained, he felt so bad

There's quite a thriving men-in-sheds trend here in New Zealand. I have an uncle involved in it. From what I gather, it's mainly for retirees to get out of the house, share resources, shoot the breeze and tinker. Not a bad way for older guys to socialise.
