Is her name Job for some reason?

And then she had to suffer the tragedy of being reported on by someone with no knowledge of basic grammar.

Hey, at least she still has her health.

This reminds me of the recent ADT commercial I saw where an actress breathlessly says to the camera "they stole our family pictures!"  I understand that in this case they stole silver which has value, but in general burglars don't want to steal things that have zero fence value - yuppie family pictures being one of those things.

I feel bad for this person; subby should know that most people don't consider "massive heart attacks" to be "freak accidents" though.

Well, that was thoroughly depressing.

Well, yeah, but if it's a smash and grab they may just grab anything that *looks* valuable, and if the photo albums/family pictures are in a box with everything else, they may just grab the whole thing.

Alternatively, some people are, you know, dicks, and might take the time to steal something that's only *emotionally* valuable if they're already robbing a place. There's plenty of people in the world that seem to enjoy the idea of causing someone emotional distress.

Hmm.  Perhaps I'm thinking too rationally.  This may be why I'm not risking years in prison for a $100 street-value flat screen.

I think you are being rational. I just know that of people I know that have been robbed, there is very often a "wtf did they steal THIS for? It has only sentimental value to me" as the capstone to the story.

Perhaps the logic such a thief is using is "fark these rich assholes for having things. I'm going to snatch this box of old letters from his dead parents."

Yeah, I can see it now- Fark these rich assholes with their bedframes, and window coverings and their lack of meth labs. imma steal all their stuff.

This is why you never keep priceless mementos of your children in plain view, on the piano.

So does NRTFA.

Classy of the news site to brag (in another article/news clip) about having video of the daughter burning to a crisp in her car while most of the other drivers just watched.

Sometimes, the big man upstairs just points his finger and says "fark this person in particular..."
