She has a fat chance of ever working in politics again, or for that matter anywhere she might be privy to sensitive information, after going public like that.

Weiner must have seriously pissed off someone really big in order to get this non-stop Howard Deaning in the press.

It's not Weiner that pissed somebody off somebody really big - it's Hillary Clinton - and she had lunch with Mr. Big yesterday.

Morgan shouldn't have apologized.  Weiner's campaign is going down in flames and only a Hail Mary pass could save it.  I think a lot of NYC would buy into a campaign willing to tell it how it is and spew unadulterated stream-of-consciousness outrage.  They could completely turn the story around from Weiner being the guy who lied about sexting to Weiner being the guy who isn't going to sugar coat anything or play politics, he's just going to tell it like it is and do what needs to be done.

They could be like the 'rent is too damn high' guy but with actual governance bona fides.

That may have been for her own legal protection, rather than for the campaign. I'm not a lawyer, but calling a non-public figure a "slutbag" in public media might qualify as defamation in some places.

True, but if the chick did violate an NDA she would've at least had some leverage to get her to drop it if she did.

Is Weiner's campaign manager a 15-year-old girl?  Those quotes were painful to read.

Who could have guessed that the Weiner campaign shiatshow attracted unprofessional people?

Her language is so outrageous, I would have believed her if she came out and said the story was false.

What a catastrofark.

She sounds unfathomably annoying.

That said, it is extremely obvious the other woman pretended to intern for the campaign in order to write the stories.. so lets not feel any sympathy for the devious farker at all eh?

We need a reading of this like the sorority letter.

Weiner's goose is cooked. When you trash a former employee, you are trashing your own hiring judgment abilities and leadership. They could have refuted the low level munchkin, but all this vitriol..... yet who am I a born and raised polite ex-Midwesterner to judge whether NYC vitriol is good or bad.

If what Morgan is saying is true, then yep.

Pretty underhanded but almost certainly a very profitable decision. Spend four weeks interning for a sleazy politician then quit and write a tell-all after his campaign crashes and burns.

2013-07-31 03:32:30 AM
"She sucked. She like wasn't good at setting up events. She was clearly there because she wanted to be seen. Like it was, like, terrible and I had to like - she would like, she would just not show up for work," said Morgan.

That is some painfully offensive language. Much more so than the curse words she used. Weiner seems to have surrounded himself with twats.

You don't know New York politics very well. At all.

This is where the state assembly speaker's chief lawyer got probation for sexual misconduct after plea bargaining down from a rape charge, with many strings pulled on his behalf - and not only did the speaker get the taxpayers to cover the settlement with the victim, the rapey guy bounced right into a lobbying gig and now he's a principal at one of the biggest lobbying firms in Albany.

Which means he maintained his connections at top levels of state government all along.

And the victim? She's the one who has no shot at government work, because she talked.

The bottom line in New York is that you can screw up over and over, you can be corrupt, you can even sexually assault somebody...and you'll still land on your feet, and then some if you're in the good graces of the right people. Long as you don't call out the bosses you're golden.

Ahhh.  The nuts and sluts defense.  I was waiting for that.  It's about time these bimbo eruptions got taken care of.

/Funny observation that the object of the attack said the only reason women joined the Weiner campaign was to get closer to Huma and Hillary.
//Even funnier is the outrage that Huma is being compared to Hillary for standing by her man in anticipation of a future payout.  After all, Hillary was elected First Lady, Senator and appointed to Secretary of State and it had nothing to do with ignoring Bill's infidelities as Arkansas governor.

Doesn't that seem ass backwards?  She would be among the bystanders or even now a victim.  Tony would be the actual douche bag.  For weeks he did get a pass from the media and the politicians.  Tony's big mistake was to compare himself to Bill Clinton.  That pissed off his protection and now he's farked.

Why is political news in the US such a joke? Every big story (outside of tragedies and disasters) seems so trivial (and they'll even turn that stuff into a bunch of trivial bullshiat). Who cares who this politician schmuck sexted or sent dick pics to, how about his policies? He's trying to be mayor of the biggest city in the US and all anyone cares about is his sex life. It's funny but it doesn't matter.

/I guess it's a story since it's funny but I don't even watch TV news and I've heard way too much about this guy's dick.
