For the 5k at the Venetian Festival in Charlevoix, Lcpl Kerr opted to run the event wearing boots and utes and carrying a ruck sack. Several minutes after the other Marines he was with had finished, Lcpl Kerr still had not crossed the line. They feared his extreme level of motivation may have caused him injury and/or fatigue resulting in him dropping out of the race. Moments before they ran back through the course to recover their fellow Marine, Lcpl Kerr came around the last turn along with this small boy. The boy had become separated from those who he had started the race with. He asked Lcpl Kerr, "Sir? Will you please run with me?". Throughout the course, Lcpl Kerr urged him on when the boy wanted to give up and ensured that the boy saw the course to completion where he was reunited with his party. By his unwavering commitment to help those in need through his ability to inspire others by his unequivocal level of motivation, Lcpl Kerr reflected great credit upon himself and was keeping in the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps.

It is worth questioning, but who cares, she or he didnt mean to piss on it, its often done as propaganda

The important thing is the boy smiled, fark everyone elses feelings, sometimes childhood emotions are more powerful than the adult bullshiat we create.

// Im a dad, my son smiing usually involves game scores hehehehe I dont care, he smiled, my daughter smiles for artwork. It does not matter why a child smiles, just make the children smile. They will soon see the bullshiat behind the bullshiat behind the bullshiat, behind the bullshiat, if you educate them well.

It sounds like only one was running in boots and utes:  "...Several minutes after the other Marines he was with had finished, Lcpl Kerr still had not crossed the line. They feared his extreme level of motivation may have caused him injury and/or fatigue resulting in him dropping out of the race..."

Only another Marine would be able to point out motardation in such a delicate way.   "Lcpl schmucketelli decided to run in boots and now he has not finished. I suppose we should go back through the course to make sure doc does not need to stick a silver bullet in him"

Anybody who needs to flip bacon that is being cooked in the oven is doing it wrong, so very very wrong.  I decided to take my panini press and use it solely to cook bacon, works like a charm, and as a bonus, when I use the press to make a panini, it's infused with bacon fat and bacon bits.... In the Army the drill sergeants have been forbidden from using derogatory terms towards the recruits.  I have not heard of a similar prohibition being handed down in the Marines.

My CSB.

I used to be a Navy guy at a joint command and my division was about half Marines, some Sailors and  and couple of Airmen.

On the morning the Navy PT test, I noticed that some of the Marines from my division were there.  I didn't know why they were there - they didn't have to be.

When it came time for the run, each Sailor in the division had a Marine run with him, cheering him along.

Yeah, Jarheads can be pretty cool sometimes, even to Sailors.
