(WTRF Wheeling)   It's not every day you're playing in a creek in Pennsylvania and you come face to face with a five-foot alligator   (wtrf.com) divider line 17

It is if you own a five foot alligator and have a creek.

Haven't we had quite a few stories about various drug dealer types with guard alligators? Wonder if this is one that got away.

Gators are more cold hardy than I give them credit for.

Yeah, I suppose up there in PA it is a rare occurrence to find a five foot gator. Down here in the sunshine state of FL it is called any given Tuesday! (Or maybe Wednesday)

I especially like the fact that the PA state game commission is trying to put the blame on someone. Mother nature.......you have been warned.

I've heard about recent sightings of Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har outside of Harrisburg.

So I don't need to pay to see the one at Adventure Aquarium? Sweet.

That just goes to show you how stupid drug dealers are.  Loyal alligator?  No.

Gators are not exactly native animals in central Pennsylvania.

I'm surprised the forty foot black snake from Bedford county didn't eat him.

Never expected my hometown to appear on Fark and for an alligator of all things.  I know that creek is spring fed and very cold (~45-55 degrees F).  That has to be a very recently released gator.

I think a more logical explanantion would be that global warming has caused alligators to evolve the ability to consume Prestone anti freeze.
