Its a good thing they don't actually exist.
I could see some company actually selling sentinels to helicopter parents.

The movie sucked as a whole yes, but Fassbender as David was fantastic. Too bad the script wasted him and everyone else.

I can't wait to see the same shiat I've seen 100 times already only slightly different.

God forbid they think up a new X-men story line.

This; a seminal story in X-Men history.  Pretty excited to see this.

Marvel has to make comic bookmovies.

But they don't have to re-hash.

Is this one actually being made by Marvel? I thought all the x-men movies were made by Fox or Sony.

If Marvel were the only ones making comic book films I wouldn't mind too much.

X3 was pretty original.

If they have to rely on tried and true for a movie that doesn't suck, I'm all for it. If this movie completely removes X3 from the canon, so that even the film-makers all agree it never happened, then this will be one of the best movies ever for that fact alone.

1. X3 was not original. It was a combination (badly badly done) of "Dark Phoenix" and "Gifted".

2. I think I can say this without it being a spoiler: The Wolverine assumes that X3 happened, so I think we're out of luck.

I wish they didn't have to jump through all of these hoops to erase the events of x3 ... Bryan Singer should just come out and say "we know x3 was horrible and, rather than insult the intelligence of the fans, we decided to make DOFP based on the assumption that the events of x3 (or origins: wolverine, for that matter) never took place."

The mid-credits scene in Wolverine is a lead-in to Future Past. And it seems as though it accepts X3 as happening and moves on.

Will they explain why Professor Xavier was seen as an old man walking to meet young Jean Grey in Land Stand but was paralyzed when he was young in First Class? I alway assumed the two movies took place in separate universes because it would be stupid to combine them if there is no continuity.

Hmm... exposed joints, tubes exposed, endoskeletal frame exposed.  Yep, looks like it'll be a push-over to destroy.  Looks like the designer for the sentinel took a page out of the Michael Bay book and decided that having exposed pieces will be a good idea.

Actually, in the comics he is going back and forth between walking and not, and he and Magneto alternate between being friends and enemies.

Um, he was temporarily paralyzed in First Class but shook it off and could walk again it but then stepped into the bear trap on the way out of Jean Grey's yard and got paralyzed again. That's canon.

I remember that he actually received a cloned body at one time and still couldn't walk.  He then realized that his paralysis was psychosomatic.  Go figure.

In the old comics, he was paralyzed by his half brother, Juggernaut.

The head looks pretty cool, but I still think it should look like the original.

Also, those vents on the torso area are angled perfectly for someone to throw or shoot something up into them.

I've been watching the original X-Men animated series (the one from the mid 90's) recently. It's so great. The writing kicked the shiat out of any of the movies. In fact, despite it being a kids show, it seems to be aimed at a higher mental age than the movies, too. Basically, fark Bryan Singer, is what I'm trying to say.

90s xmen cartoon animation is so poor though it makes my eyes hurt. Also Colossus is only in like two episides.
Plus too much wolvie and gambit.

Find the xmen cartoon movie were wolvie has an Australian accent. The art for that was great. Plus it had Dazzler who is more awesome and less creepy logan relationship having than Jubilee.

I09 also has a Wolverine movie faq. Looks like I'm waiting for it to come out on dvd.

I seem to remember an episode where Logan was going to town on some sentinels and I thought to myself "What happens when he hits the battery or whatever?" Sure enough you see him in the background get zapped and he drops to the ground for a little nap. I thought it was hilarious at the time. Or maybe I just imagined all of that.

I love all the people complaining about continuity in a comic book movie.  Have you guys ever read a comic book?

/ ok, I guess there are even more people complaining about continuity in those but still loving it.
