/G-D it Leeroy...

I started playing on a vanilla WoW private server recently and I will pull at least one of those bastards every trip through that room.

If you want to have fun, play Star Trek Online
It has the best space pvp evar!

Star Trek Online does have fun PvP. But the learning curve is high. It took me a long time researching and testing various equipment to even survive against a tactical player (which the game is rigged in favor of). But now I finally have a ship that's nigh indestructible when I have all power to shields and auxiliary. But since I have no weapons power, what's the point? I basically just get people to unload their alpha strikes on me til they get bored because I'm not blowing up. But even though I have dmgx3 weapons, I have no power to do enough damage unless i move power out of my shields.

Wish flying a cruiser had a point in the game

FYI, if you don't have more than 100% power to weapons, you are doing PVP wrong FWIW.

I bet you even fit dual heavy cannons on your Galaxy-x :cripes:.

Satanic_Hamster: TyrantII: Kickstarter. Star Citizen looks to be trying to resurrect a space combat sim genre, but it's a far way from a MMO in scope.

shiat, does anyone even MAKE joysticks any more?  :0

(yes, I know there's still a few you can order off the internets)

I have been thinking about this, and hear me out, I think a console game pad could sort of replace the joystick.

I feel that I could use a 360 controller and play Tie Fighter with it if I got the configuration right.  Mechwarrior 2 possibly as well, but that had way more keyboard commands so it might be tougher.

/I do miss my joystick though

For years, I kept a pci card in my box just so I would have the proper connection to plug in a joystick.  I don't think I've seen an USB joystick in person in my life.

Flight sims / space fight sims used to be the King shiats of fark Island in the computer world.

lordargent: Space Station Wagon: I don't care what game you play or how big your epeen is or isn't, no one remembers you.
You are not a digital legend.

Shadows of Silvas in the house.

Don't Touch Tha: is that... earth:2025?

Yep, that was good times ... too bad Patel sold out, but I think that it got too large for him to handle.

The people who he sold it to couldn't handle it either and it died under them.

// I actually took that screenshot for other folks I was playing the game with, we were perfecting our tech reseller strategies and I had just bought out my private market (with tons of cash left over). I sent them an IM that said "hey guys, what do I do with the rest of this cash?"

Lol. The elitist attitude never gets old.

But I'm open to any suggestions about how to get a cruiser to take on an escort and live. Actually....i should rephrase that: multiples escorts and live. One is easy to fight.Three or four ganging up to take out the healer not so much.

Anyway, my setup is a Odyssey Operations Cruiser running 8 Polaron beams with dmgx3. I prefer them because they drain power levels. I have the Borg set because I'm not high enough in the Omega tier to get either the macro or omega sets yet. But I like the regenerative shields since they just repair easily and stay up. I haven't exploded in months, but yeah, even if I have 100 to both weapons and shields, its like my attacks do nothing to an escort, unless I have a lot of time.

I've got a closet-full.  Srsly.  Just about everything CH ever made.  Ditto Thrustmaster (including a couple of FCS' with the 20# springs).

/used to be in a position to call up manufacturers and ask for a pallet of their product line and actually get it, gratis, in a few days
