"Wyoming voters know very well that the Washington establishment is the problem," Cheney told POLITICO.

DeMint avoided endorsing primary challengers over Senate incumbents.

Maybe because that strategy has created Democratic seats in the House.

Came here to quote that...... Really, that is your strategy.... "The Washington establishment is the problem..... So vote for me, the daughter of a two term vice-president, Sec. of Defense, House member, and Chief of Staff".

This is as bad as the Meg Whitman comment running for Gov. about how "30 years ago, anything was possible in this state".... which was effectively used in an ad pointing out who was Govenor 30 years ago:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEPlZYp5-Pk

I just looked at Liz's Wiki page and I was shocked...SHOCKED...to find not one mention of her every working in Wyoming.

A mayoral candidate in my city tried that in the last election except she used the race card instead. Tried to pose herself as a city hall outsider even though she had been on the city council for over a decade and her opponent had never held a position in city government. But he was black and she was white which she thought gave her outsider cred since the mayors over the past few decades were black. It almost worked but she still lost by a few hundred votes, probably because she when she opened her mouth she made Edith Bunker look like Hedy Lamarr.

Enzi's Senate fan club describes the incumbent as a rock-ribbed conservative who's left no daylight to his right for a challenge.

When it comes to the current Republican party, there is always room to the right:

C'mon, GOP.  Just move a little more to the right.....

...... a little more....... OH-OH!!!

Maybe Karl Rove can create some new math to get the GOP out of there, math that makes him feel better.

During the Iraqi occupation she held a series of high level jobs involved with the make believe Bush administration narrative that we were bringing "democracy" to Iraq, and then in 2006 headed up a government agency aimed at finding a way to start a war with Iran. Since her daddy has left office, she started up a non profit (yeah right) 501c with none other than lying rat fark bastard Bill Kristol called "Keep America Safe" and worked as a BS artist talking head on FOX News, both jobs spreading propaganda for the military industrial complex. And her husband was given the plum political position of chief legal advisor to Homeland Security. Make no mistake about it, this woman is running for Senator of Wyoming because it will boost the ties between her family and the military industrial complex---not the people of Wyoming.

To the people of Wyoming's credit, right now she is behind 54% to 26% in the polls. But it's early yet. The big question is: can her daddies blood money buy her enough votes to make up the difference?

Enzi is "honest and decent, hard-working; he's got very important positions in the Senate. He's highly respected. And these are all things that would cause anybody to say: 'Why would anybody run against him?'"

BECAUSE THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF DEMOCRACY YOU DOLT

Well, I think he more meant "Why would someone in the 'party'" do it.   And, unless I am mistaken, this isn't even a very big "ideological" debate here, like all of the Tea Party candidates that go against the GOP incumbent in the primary as being too "centrist".  I haven't heard that Cheney is particularly different from Enzi, just that she believe's she "should" be the Senator.

Yeah, what the Republicans want now is another reminder of 2001-2009.  They're still trying to forget those years even existed, even to the point of having another politico brat taking office instead of finding a real job.

Ireland is oneof my ancestral homelands.  Pretty sure the Irish are not stupid enough to put me in their gov't tho  And, like Liz, I ain't spent meaningful time there either...unless flying over it counts.
