Anyone who drove a car back in the day knows cars could easily get knocked out of alignment and also have steering so loose that it was a fight just to keep it straight.  Also, being drunk impairs your ability to operate heavy machinery.  And being black increases your chances of being pulled over.  This was...just not a good fit at all.

In college the check next door to me used to crank DMX.  I would retaliate with Slayer.

Years later one member of Slayer is dead as the result of alcoholism after contracting necrotizing fasciatis.

...and DMX is driving an old station wagon.

I win.

There were very fews cars in the 70s that weren't ugly, and most of them were real sports cars.

Impossible! Marijuana has zero effect on driving ability, except that it makes you more careful! Unless youu mean high on crack, in which case you're probably right. Dude's a mess.

No way man, GRAN FURY, the big one, with the fake wood, 440 cubic inch motor with 4 barrel carb.

10 MPG on good day, but you could slide a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the back and close the door.

The guy who uttered the immortal lyrics "I might leave in a body bag but never in cuffs" has been put in cuffs five times.

It's almost like these rap guy don't actually mean the things they say.  Like they're just playing a role and don't actually fit the stereotype they portray.

I'll just go back to country music, where they don't have any of that nonsense.

I really wish DMX would get it together long enough to do another album, bring some hardcore rap back to hip hop and maybe these candy rapper fairies like Drake would go away.

Anyone who hasn't seen the Behind The Music episode on him is missing out. Dude had a pretty sad life growing up and has been addicted to crack off and on (mostly on) since he was a teenager. Even when he made it big, I don't think he ever got to a place where he ever had any kind of stability. I guess a stable home life is maybe something that has to be learned, though most of us take it for granted.

TTL/DNR, but did anyone point out that DMX has a thing for classic cars a bit outside the normal "rapper expectations" yet?

So says his lawyer...or spokesman...or whoever.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Linda Tripp, but I have to admit the samples of Sole biatching out on the phone were kind of amazing. I just don't think the song itself is very inspired.

"I love Company Flow...I wanna be down..."
