The scientist behind the "in vitro" burger believes synthetic meat could help to save the world from the growing consumer demand for beef, lamb, pork and chicken.

At $385,000 per burger? I would say they're doing it wrong.

Looks tasty.  Send me a dozen, I'll throw the extras in the freezer.

Of course they will.  I am certainly willing to try vat grown meat but not until it's affordable.

Actually, kind of more keen on lab grown liverwurst.

Done in One,

That kind of made my head asplode. It was almost as it Watts hadn't been doing everything he possibly could to cast doubt on climate change, but had simply been arguing for better solutions all along.

The comments claiming that the evil enviromentalists would find a way to make desertification and the effects of climate change worse were also head-asplody.

Too late for the Richard Nixon burger or Pol Pot stew.

/I disappoint

lifeboat: And they didn't do this with bacon because...?

Baby steps. Right now, they can't really replicate the texture of naturally grown meat. In Bacon, that's a biggie.

lifeboat: And they didn't do this with bacon because...?

The Jews duh.

That picture is gross looking.  I'm very big on visual appeal of meat. If it was between that and killing my own food, I'm going to go with the second option.

And they will all taste oblivion! Which tastes just like Red Bull... which is disgusting!
