It took him until the 105th game of the season to contribute anything to his team.

....legendary.

Would've been better if Hughes didn't gack up another lead handed to him on a silver platter.

I am not a fan of the Yanks, hate them collectively actually, but you have to give props to where it is due. Jeter, Riveria, Posada, The ones they grow'em instead of buy them.

Jayhawk must be a Royals' fan and wish Hosmer and the rest can start performing like Jeter, Rivera, Posada and Bernie did.

Jeter's home run and Soriano's 4/5 with a home run. I thInk it was 2003 in the Bronx.

Back in 1995, Boss George had to be talked out of trading Rivera and Posada to Cincinnati for David Wells.

Dammit. So. Much.

I offered a MTA North conductor $5 to say, "Jeter's overrated" over the PA, on a train bound for a Yankee's home game.  (I was on the platform, seeing my family off.)  He said he was a Red Sox fan and would do it for free.  He made the announcement and uproar across the entire train was beautiful.  Before the train pulled out, he had someone banging on his door to give him shiat.

That was not 415. Try 355.

Look at the video.  He hits it about 10 feet to the right of where it says 385.

I'm not saying it was a moon shot, just that the fence doesn't abruptly come in 30 feet in that 10 foot span.

I'm on my 5th year taking the MNO. It's usually a pleasant ride, sometimes downright scenic. The LIRR, on the other hand, is a disaster that just keeps getting worse.

Well, it's like how you're supposed to measure your dick from the center of the anus to just past the tip - measure home runs from the furthest dugout to just past where they land.

Hey, that's not fair. Aside from A-Rod, and that guy before, and that pitcher, and then the other guy, then that other pitcher, and then that other dude, and then the guy who got busted the year before that, when has PED use ever been a problem for the Yankees?

I actually know the dude who caught that - hes a Class A Yankee fan whose been a season ticket holder for like 25 years, Hes a real hustler who has a basement thats a mini Yankee museum, and is proud that he has NEVER paid for anything signed.

He once in spring training barged into Steinbrenner's office and DEMANDED that he has his picture taken with him - and he did it! The look on GMS III's face in the pic is priceless!

It's a lot more than 10 feet from the sign, but you are correct, it is closer to 385 than 360.  ESPN home run tracker puts in at 380.  Which means that exact same hit in almost every other ball park is basically going to be a double.

As much as I hate the Yanks, Jeter and 'Mo have my respect. Playing for the same team. Jeters 5 WS, 313 avg, 3,305 hits is nothing to sneeze at. Its one of those things where people talk about wishing they were around when Mantle and Ford played. Well now you are with Jeter and Rivera. Enjoy it.

Unless somehow they get into another World Series this season, then fark them both! Still a Yank hater here

Yeah, well, considering that Camden's only 20-something years old and it's still a picturesque park compared to NYS, that's pretty damning.  Hell, Camden was picturesque from day one.

Is that Steven Tyler on the bottom right?  I suppose he got bored after 20 years and thousands of modelesque women, and anyone can forgive Jeter for that.  But the sin is that Steven Tyler is a Boston guy.  Where the hell was Bon Jovi?

I don't really get this complaint either (I was specifically referring to people complaining about field dimensions).
NYS is what it is.. they weren't going for the Camden Yards look.
