It's like all of these pictures have folks out of their comfort zone.  But, the reactions aren't exactly the feel good "strangers are all people" effect the photographer is trying to portray.

What makes you think the photographer was trying to portray that? Stoic expressions were surely directed...

I think it's a cool project. It's interesting seeing people get close and touch while still trying to keep their distance a bit (very clear in the cop/girl shot).

I wonder how this project would look in other various cultures around the world. Hell, even in different parts of America.
