When playing the Kevin Bacon game, I find Animal House is a crucial link to the Saturday Night Live cast.

And yet they left out the fact that Tim Matheson is Dead Larry.    Tsk, tsk.

The girl who played the underage chick who hooked up with Pinto, and who played Maggie in Caddyshack, went batshiat crazy, and now lives in a mental hospital, or assisted living facility. Whenever I see her in these two movies, it kinda saddens me a bit.

She went to drugs and alcohol hard, it brought out a hard case of schizophrenia if I remember correctly she was into all sort of hard drugs going non-stop. Of course reality is going to fade away doing this, tragic no less.

Karen Allen/Katy
Karen Allen played Katy, the sexually frustrated girlfriend of Delta Donald "Boon" Schoenstein. Like Bacon, Allen made her big-screen debut in "Animal House" before going on to star in movies including "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Starman." After taking smaller film and TV roles while focused on raising her son and starting her own textile company, Allen, now 61, reprised her best-known role as Marion Ravenwood for the 2008 sequel, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

Fixed that for humanity's sake.

Sarah Holcomb. Very pretty, had a lot of potential but she developed schizophrenia. Hollywood just gilded that lily.

I do, too. I just read that Holcomb's Animal House castmates influenced her to do a lot of drugs (well, duh), although of course it was her decision. And that she now lives freely, back East, under a different name.

The little kid reading Playboy at the end of the movie who gets a sorority girl catapulted into his bed and yells Thank You God!

Funny story about that.  They really wanted to make her 16, and set the bar lower so that they could argue to it with the censors, but the censors never caught it, hence a 13-year-old working in the grocery store.

My favorite bit of Animal House trivia: Peter Riegert later appeared in the Jim Carrey movie The Mask. At one point a photograph of his character's wife is shown, and they used a shot from Animal House of Verna Bloom playing Marion Wormer.

Tim Matheson went on to star in the animal house clone, Up the Creek, about a guy who had been in college for 12 years.

Which also has Flounder from Animal house, Pee Wee from Porkys, and the hot as balls Jennifer Runyon

OscarTamerz: D Day got fat but he works more than anybody else and usually plays cops like in My Cousin Vinny.

Or his outstanding retired cop appearance on Miami Vice, in the episode, "Out Where the Buses Don't Run".

Fun fact: It wasn't as obvious after the editing was complete as had been intended, but the film ends on November 21, 1963, the day before Oswald shot Kennedy.  25 years ago, "Remembrance of the Daleks" pretty well implied that "An Unearthly Child" (which of course premièred on the 23rd), was also set on the 21st or *very* soon before, as Barbara's book about the French Revolution was still on Susan's desk when Ace beat the snot out of a Dalek on the 22nd. Given the time difference, the Deathmobile was wreaking havoc at about the same time when Ian and Barbara first confronted the Doctor at the Foreman junk yard and de-materialised away in the TARDIS.

What's left of my memory says she told Pinto during their exchange in the checkout line.  I'm prepared to be wrong, of course.

The 70's were a less prudish time.

[Rob has bailed Alvy out of jail]
Rob: Imagine my surprise when I got your call, Max.
Alvy Singer: Yeah. I had the feeling that I got you at a bad moment. You know, I heard high-pitched squealing.
Rob: Twins, Max! 16 years-old. Can you imagine the mathematical possibilities?
Alvy Singer: [glum] You're an actor, Max. You should be doing Shakespeare in the Park.
Rob: Oh, I did Shakespeare in the Park, Max. I got mugged. I was playing Richard the Second and two guys with leather jackets stole my leotard.

Isaac Davis: She's 17. I'm 42 and she's 17. I'm older than her father, can you believe that? I'm dating a girl, wherein, I can beat up her father.
