(BBC America)   The Doctors Revisited has reached the Seventh Doctor's era, where the Daleks learned to climb stairs, The Doctor rolled his 'R's a lot, and Ace was always prepared with a can of Nitro-9. It's Remembrance of the Daleks, 7 PM on BBC America   (bbcamerica.com) divider line 69

Currently re-watching Tom Baker's run.  Sarah Jane is becoming a favorite again.  I'd rather watch her climb scaffolding for 5 minutes than pretty much anything Rose did.

Oh, BBC America... why can't you do anything right?

This.
What they'll do for the 1/2 hour before I don't know.
Radio episodes don't make for good TV, so I'd guess the Shada re-boot will be heavily discussed.

I'm betting it'll be a discussion of the cancellation of the series in '89, the aborted Fox series, the Shada flash serial, the audio plays, and the movie.

In the first season with Hartnell, he didn't even know who the daleks were when he met them.  Then all of a sudden in later seasons, they've been his mortal enemies since before he had the tardis.

It was never cancelled, but other than that,  yes.
It was placed on hiatus and moved to BBC radio. They are not to be confused w/ Big Finish

There's no guarantee BBC America has the rights to the movie. It was co-produced with Fox, so it may not have been part of the package that BBC-A bought. Does anyone know one way or another?

Remembrance of the Daleks was the first 7th/Ace serial I saw.  I've also seen Dragonfire and Curse of the Fenric.  Remembrance of the Daleks was the better of the three.  After listening to the 7th/Ace audio plays, I would love to see Ace return to the series the same way Sarah Jane Smith returned.

Probably because Peter Cushing played a human who was a Doctor and last name was Who. That is enough really.

Google tardis builders forum. You'll find rough measurements depending on which of the many versions there are. No real definitive guide to building from. You just have to wing it.

Hard part for us was making it modular so I can take it to cons, and the like.

the whole thing is held together with 8 nuts on the columns , about 50 wingnuts for everything else. 2 people can set it up in about 20 min and the only tool you need is a single 1/2" wrench for the columns.

I iz a proud.

Moffat expressly asked that it not be distributed and put everybody on their honor. And I think it's kind of cool that as of this writing, out of all the people there, everybody is honoring his request..

Just getting into the Eighth Doctor's Big Finish stuff... I think he's surpassed the Ninth as my favorite incarnation.

I'd kill for a Shada/Infinite Quest-style animation of Blood of the Daleks or Human Resources. Great stories.

it's one thing with the early mis-release of the season seven dvd, but he intentionally showed a trailer.  it's only a trailer, and he put it out, it wasn't leaked.

Yeah, it's so cool to say "fark you" to the entire audience of a show, minus a tiny handful.

Maybe next, the primadonna in charge will request that the 50th Anniversary show only be shown for people in London, and it better not be distributed to anyone who isn't there! Wouldn't that be cool?

Well, that's a bit much for a trailer. I imagine the payout for commercial time is tremendous.

I love those movies, but they aren't canon exactly. They are just full feature films of those episodes.

She was contemporary to the time, born 1970.
Yeah, I was looking at that blouse with the music notes thinking she epitomizes everything wrong about the '80's

I watched that first episode with that in mind, and he never actually hinted that he didn't know the daleks. He just stayed pretty tight lipped about them. Anyway, those were early models that operated differently. Using electricity from the floor unlike later models.

Dude, she's the model for all modern companions -- tough, and not just a pretty face to scream and be rescued. She was a teenage London girl who was born there. (As in, not from the past of future or anything.) She dressed as, well, people did in the 1980s.

But I'm biased. I had a big crush on her and wrote her a fan latter when I was 12 or 13 back in the day. She even replied with a hand-written letter and a signed photo!

The Sixth and Seventh Doctors runs were the basis for a lot of stuff on NuWho. McCoy's mysterious old guy routine, Baker's harder Doctor, Ace... the concepts were sound, there just wasn't someone around at the time to put it all together.
