"At least he's better than a Republican" is a shiatty excuse. Why not actually elect someone who isn't a politician?

Yep, pretty disappointing, but still slightly better than the Rollerball like corporate state that would be the Romney alternative.

Good luck with that. Find one that's not a nutjob and/or a closet Confederalist then we can think about it. Party affiliation means nothing to me.

I hail from Maine. I don't know about how the rest of the United States works, but up here, we value people not by their political affiliation but by how good a leader is. We elected King as our senator and we are gonna be tossing LePage at the next election. We can look beyond labels. Why can't you?

One could argue that exposing waste fraud and abuse is not what Snowden did. Divulging classified information is a crime, no matter what his motive was.

Sadly, that's about the best thing you can say about the current President. He's pretty much wiped his ass with every campaign promise he made.

Hey, everyone remember when Obama signed a little thing called the PATRIOT Act?  And it only passed the House and the Senate because the Democrats fought the Republicans in the aisles?  I love how liberals conveniently forget about this.  But keep telling your little make-believe stories.  Maybe one day, someone with half a brain will believe you.  But why a conservative would believe a liberal, I don't know!  LOL!!!

I remember this SNL skit back in the 90s...it was this thing with competing dentists making commercials that paralleled political ads.  Smack-talking each other politely, insinuating horrible things about each other, increasing worse and worse..

The last ad was this third guy, advertising his services as a dentist and he proudly proclaimed that not only was he not a dentist, but he'd never even been to 'dentist school' and he plainly saw it as a positive and assured everyone that he wasn't about to learn how to be a dentist while working on their teeth and encouraged all of the viewers to avoid those 'beltway dentists' and go with him.

Yeah.

Are you asserting that Angus King, former Governor of Maine and current United States Senator, is not a politician?

More accurately, you really think Washington will listen to anyone who's not an insider?  I don't blame Obama for not getting a lot of what he wanted done because a) he's not a goddamn king and b) Washington far more full of shiat than anyone wants to let on.

I'ma add the same comment as I did to the story, which section is full of retards BTW. snowden is not a whistleblower, because the actions he revealed are legal. people biatching about the surveilance were a) not paying attention when the laws were passed or b) didn't give a shat.

I dont even know why they would remove the website. its clear that what they include as whisleblower activities deserving protection, can not be ascribed to snowden (who is a pretty clearcut example of a traitor).

USSC has not ruled on the issue.  If you look at the USSC GPS tracking case last year, the aggregation of data was against the 4th amendment in a few of the concurring opinions.  It hasn't held up yet, but the USSC seems close to admitting that due to advances in technology, aggregating so much meta data basically is an intrusion under the 4th.

God didn't 'really' like blah people until the 1970's. Loves America but hides his money in Swiss Bank. Binders full of women. God is going to make him a magic-underwear wearin' king on his own planet some day. Picked Paul 'Rand' Ryan as his girlfriend.

Wow, you do know it was passed again as there was a 10 year sunset clause, signed again by Obama.  So now democrats have no responsibility for bills that they vote for as long as a Republican originally proposes it?  Under your logic Democrats are not responsible for making the Bush/Obama tax cuts largely permanent.  And the GOP is now responsible for ACA since you democrats love to claim Heritage proposed that exact legislation.
