or in other words it cannot  go through bridges and tunnels so it has to take the scenic route.

Reading, how the fark does it work?

FTA:
It started its trip in late June, floating by barge down the East Coast into the Gulf of Mexico - where it outran a tropical depression - then up the Mississippi River, where it was photographed drifting past St. Louis' arch on its way into Illinois.

And since you have issues understanding things, the thing is too large for most roads, which is why it went by boat for most of the trip.  Did you not even see the pictures?
