To this day, that "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" remains the finest Futurama episode ever made. Perfect timing, a serendipitous rube-goldberg-esque plot line for the Devil to get his hands back and an awesome, awesome musical finale.

It was a great series finalie, and it ending up not being one was even better.

Now that the animated series is in its final season, for real maybe this time, can we expect a live-action film?

Pretty cool, but I still don't think they've managed to top this one yet: Link

I hope not. I hope it ends in a great fashion, but it needs to end. The move to Comedy Central hurt them as it gave them too much freedom. Instead of sly jokes and innuendo to get past the censors, they just throw them at you and it's not nearly as fun. There are still some episodes that hit it out of the park (like The Late Philip J. Fry), but you're getting more misses than hits nowadays.

End it on a great note and then call it a day.

Close. But "Free Will Hunting" is the best episode. That episode went from mad-cap adventure to something brilliant and back and has a swivel surprise chair.

/ Top 5: "Free Will Hunting", "The late Phillip J. Fry", "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings", The mind switching episode, and the first with the Giant Brains.

Good episode, sure, but it's no Jurassic Bark

Did it suddenly get dusty in here?

/How does a damn cartoon manage to do that?

You forgot Luck of the Fryrish, and Roswell That Ends Well.

I mean c'mon, how can you not list the episode where we find out Fry is his own grandfather?

Jurassic Bark never hit me like that. Luck of the Fryrish does a better job IMO.

/And the montage at the end of Leela's Homeworld always gets me in a sweet way

I do wonder how hard it would be to use a clarinet body, and then make an adapter for an oboe reed - that mouthpiece seems to be made for some sort of double-reed style (bassoon maybe).

Nope, Fry managed to play the instrument because of the worms in his body fixing the place up. Dealing with the devil to get his hands is definitely the lesser option.

That thing's already a caricature of an English Horn anyway. Why not start there?
