Destroying evidence is central to Halliburton's business plan

...until the wheels come off.

Spending all the money on the rich and the Military-Industrial complex, while destroying the poor and middle-class will push us to Epic Fail faster than any Communist or "Al Qaeda" could. See,  Ayn Rand may be an entertaining read (for barely-literate cretins), but as a real-world fiscal policy? Right.

Halliburton shares rise despite guilty plea related to destroying evidence

Despite?  They got off with the lightest of slaps on the wrist. Of course their stock is going to rise.

ajgeek: Sergeant Grumbles: xynix: The first stock I ever purchased was Amway and I'm thinking it was 8 bucks a share because at the age of 12 I had $20 saved and I asked my dad to get me 3 shares.

Look at Grover Norquist over here. "Smart" enough to be investing at age 12, but somehow unable to do basic math.

That whole post reeks of bullshiat.

The fact Amway is a private company, which doesn't have stocks to buy, was kind of a giveaway.

xynix: I picked up HAL in Dec or so of 2001 and have kept it ever since. It was a pretty significant investment back then because I was bailing out of my tech stocks like mad in late 2000, because I knew the bubble was about to implode, and had a bunch of cash parked.

I see no reason to sell as Obama continues the War on the World. The military industrial complex Rummie and Cheney built will continue to thrive under Obama and Obama's replacement and that replacement.. and that one.. also that one..

"Fark you, got mine" in action.

They blatently broke the laws in place, caused billions of damage and the paid the max fine of 200k. Would think if the laws in place actually held them accountable for the damage and destroying evidence after, then the stock would drop... but knowing that the worst that will happen from pushing for top profit is a tiny chance of paying a price of doing business tax, BUY BUY BUY

We deserve the world we live in. We deserve these wars, the out of control spending, Bush Jr and Obama. We deserve the upcoming collapse too.

Destroy evidence of wrongdoing, share price goes up. You can't explain that!

The market hates uncertainty more than almost anything else.  Once the market knew what was going to happen, the stock pushed higher because uncertainty had been removed from the equation.
