It still amazes me that the right pays any attention to a draft-dodging has-been pedophile.

Nugent is a nutball, but the celebrities calling for a boycott over "stand your ground" are idiots for two reasons.  1. The Zimmerman case had nothing (zero, zip, nada) to do with stand your ground.  2. Roughly 30 states have stand your ground type laws on their books.

He certainly hates drugs a lot for a draft dodger.

I thought all draft dodgers were supposed to be pot smoking left wing hippies?

Also he was a draft dodger, who dodged the draft.

Snark away....he's pretty much correct about this particular issue.  I'd prefer to hear the Florida governor say the same thing and tell the idiots to fark off, but pretty sure that won't happen, wut wit' politics and all.

That's ridiculous.  I have hardly ever been brutally murdered and raped when I'm in Chicago.  And I've never been carjacked.

Let's boycott Nugent.

Don't boycott Florida over Stand Your Ground.

Boycott them for poor enforcement of human trafficking laws which allow their tomato and citrus growers to make gobs of money off of what is quite literally slavery that still exists.

Also, slave labor or no, the ruined the tomato.

Mugato: OgreMagi: 1. The Zimmerman case had nothing (zero, zip, nada) to do with stand your ground.

They didn't implicitly invoke "stand your ground" but Zimmerman stalked a person and murdered him because he claimed he was scared for his life. And he got off. That's pretty much the spirit of the "stand your ground" law. One of the jurors is now coming out saying that he got away with murder but because of the law, there wasn't anything she could do.

what the hell is wrong with you?  you straight up know that what you said there is complete crap.

also, that juror is an idiot.  stand your ground had nothing whatever to do with anything on the Zimmerman case and the juror in question basically said that she felt he was guilty of something, but the law said otherwise.

Your FEELINGS don't mean shiat.  Zimmerman was attacked and defended himself, and the law was very clear, and stand your ground had NOTHING WHATEVER to do with the case.

You know, I know, hell, DOGS know that Zimmerman should never have been charged with a crime.  The prosecution had ZERO case.  Trayvon's own friend admitted ON THE STAND and on CNN that Trayvon went all the way home and then RETURNED to Zimmerman to "whoop ass".

So seriously.  What the hell is wrong with you?

OgreMagi: The juror said he got away with murder because of the lack of evidence. Again, not one farking thing to do with stand your ground.

shhhhhh. no one like their paradigms sprinkled with facts.  now when there is a jury trial the jurors will judge based off of what the masses want and not based off of evidence. that is one way to destroy the justice system.

Avoiding drugs is a good idea, but it doesn't make you morally superior, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a few beers or a martini.

Yeah, Henry Rollins is a total straight edge type, but he doesn't go on and on about it, or even bash others for not being like him, as far as I've seen. Which makes me think it would be a lot of fun to see Ted Nugent and Henry Rollins fight.

I'd pay good money to see that.

"Stand Your Ground" was invoked at the get-go.  Any person in a non SYG state would have spent at least a few days locked up while things got sorted out.  IIRC he walked away that night and slept in his own bed.

No.  The media invoked stand your ground from the get-go.  Zimmerman did not.

Smeggy Smurf: Avoiding the free fire zone that is Chicago doesn't make sense for him.  You'd think he'd appreciate a chance to shoot back first with little chance the pigs will even notice another couple dozen dead inner city punks.

Shooting a human being isn't like shooting a flaming arrow at a guitar strapped to a wall.

You'd think so, but in fact he'd be standing there with an empty rifle miming it while some guy just out of sight took all his shots for him.

Only one way to find out.  Frankly my bet is he's better for moral purposes than actually on the front lines.  Now as a sniper he's apt to be among the more deadly seeing as how he can afford to get a decent weaponsmith to peak and tweak his rifle.
