Not sure if male or female and I'm not shimmying up the powerline pole to the nest to find out.[farm8.staticflickr.com image 500x375]Jasper dozing.[farm3.staticflickr.com image 500x375]On the downside I have what I fear is bronchitis. Sucks feeling crappy anytime, but especially in the summer.

CrankyAndi: [crankyandi.smugmug.com image 850x637]And Ellie. I cannot get over just how photogenic she is. This is today.and this one is from February 16, 2008, the day I picked her up off the streets. She weighed 4.2 pounds (she is 15 pounds now) and was recent mom but no babies. She was feral and called me all sorts of dirty names when I grabbed her. She is named Ellie after my mom....cause I swear she was channeling Mom with the nasty names and hissing and spitting (My Mom had Alzheimer's. I set Ellie's birthday as the day mom passed away. It fit)[crankyandi.smugmug.com image 850x637]
sno man: Hi everyone, been away a bit and with packing and whatnot, totally missed last week and have been since I got home yesterday catching up (spotty at best cell service, and a VERY basic data plan kept me mostly off-line). Another lot of sad this week, and to those whose cats have crossed the bridge in the last couple of weeks... It's hard right now to try to focus on the good memories and fun times, but try, over time that's what sticks with you. And a few seem to need to find some better doctors...maynerdkitty, I'm really enjoying the chicks updates! I've half been thinking of getting a couple, my daughter had a week of riding camp earlier this Summer, and she was at least as interested in the chicks and hens as the horses(!)I tried to find it from a few weeks ago but couldn't, and to the photographer, my apologies. But I was very inspired by some hummingbird pictures a few weeks ago, and well the place we were staying at had a couple of hummingbird feeders, and after a little experimentation, was able to capture these ruby throated hummingbirds:this is a female...[imageshack.us image 600x400]this is two females...[imageshack.us image 600x400]and one of the males...[imageshack.us image 600x400]...
sno man: And finally what we got to come home to...[imageshack.us image 600x433]we still haven't pinned down a name for momma (and a couple of kitties)but this little guy's Jack, and either a toy is moving...[imageshack.us image 600x400]or he is...[imageshack.us image 600x432]and this is Amelia...[img707.imageshack.us image 600x400]

sno man: Try some tea with lemon & honey, breathing in the steam... sometimes works.
OlderGuy: As promised, the new paint job... given the 'interpretation' done to the old one, this may be get interesting also.... [i.imgur.com image 850x477]
lilyspad: So.......you didn't have a cat when you left????
lilyspad: OlderGuy: uses it as primer.. his house will end up being Gray... again....As a person who sells paint and such on a regular basis....paint doesn't do the same job as primer. Primer had certain agents added to it to make it adhere better to the surface, which gives the topcoat (paint) a better base, and makes it last longer. All that person is doing is creating a big surface of non-stick coating./end thread jack.

sherpa18: tigerose: sherpa18: I hope you are just up early, and not still up frm last night...Just up early again to feed the lord and masterTM, and could not get back to sleep.*slight threadjack*Meanwhile, since a considerable portion of Caturday participants seem to qualify for "get off my lawn" privileges (myself included), and I don't know how many of you venture out to the main page, I thought I would bring your attention to this photographic record of life in America in the early '70's (currently posted on the FarkUs tab). Having grown up in NYC during that period, I found it mesmerizing. Even if you did not live in one of the locations highlighted, it is a real trip down memory lane. (Cigarettes $3.99/carton, beer $1.15/six pack, cars that were not made of plastic, to say nothing of the clothes - WTF were we thinking?)*ends threadjack, grabs cane to hobble off for a nap*[i415.photobucket.com image 302x406]
lilyspad: [i.imgur.com image 398x480]This is my friend's cat Zoe. (Sherpa captioned) She has to have surgery on Tuesday to have a cancerous growth removed from her back paw. My friend is very anxious about it. I told her I could get some good karmas going for Zoe. Thanks guize! :D
Mrs CDK: Thanks all for welcoming Caesar into his forever home! And a huge thank you to my TF donor. You are too awesome!I also has a sads today. My friend who has been fighting brain cancer for the past 26 months lost his fight today. When he was diagnosed with inoperable Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma in May of 2011, they were hoping to have 18 months with him. He fought his battle hard with weekly chemo and radiation and was able to enjoy his family and celebrate his life for 26 months. He even hung on to see his new grandbaby, born a month ago. He stopped his treatments about 2 1/2 months ago and 2 weeks ago, he started to go downhill very fast. He lost his battle today. He was a super hero who bravely fought his battle as hard as he could. For everyone fighting cancer, for everyone who has lost a loved one to cancer, but especially for my friend Chad and his family today, I say FU Cancer!! You Suck!
