Burr: cschick2317: hubby beat it legitimately

Warp or no warp?

ZeroCorpse: I don't know what universe crap like this is considered "romantic" in, but I'm pretty sure any normal woman would have preferred a nice meadow, a ring, and a heartfelt request for her lifelong partnership to being told "Play this old-ass game. You gotta play this and beat it. (snicker) There's something you have to see!"

People who do this stuff aren't nerds; They're spazzes.

Even geeks and nerds know to avoid the spazz.

You sound boring and predictable.

Both. He used warps first, but then said he didn't want people saying he didnt beat it completely so he worked on the other levels and managed to beat it all the way through.

I can't remember if I ever beat it or not.  I was 10 when it came out so my mind is kind of foggy.  I wan't to say I did because I know I played it a lot.  I just remember that there was a warp behind a wall in level 3.

My secret shame....I never beat Super Mario Brothers.....

Smackledorfer: FatPrincess: She has a bright future since she's got such a progressive husband who's handy in the kitchen.  /Beat Battletoads but didn't put enough time into Contra.

Your slashy must be trolling.

Contra without code requires less memorization or skill than battletoads level three.

No trolling. I used speeder warp (3) and Tube warp (9).

ZeroCorpse: Men be all like THIS, and women be all like THIS.

It's a hobby, not a career.

To clarify I wasn't saying you couldn't beat battletoads, I was saying anyone who can should dominate contram

Hollie Maea: God Is My Co-Pirate: "But when they opened the Vault, it was full of nothing but tentacles and disappointment."

How can you have tentacles AND disappointment?

Tentacular distinction? Or supprisingly small tentacles?

Hey, if you don't want to get married, just man up and tell her.

The story here is that a "veteran gamer" has a "girlfriend".

OIC. Contra was just a rental. For Konami my brother only owned Castlevania 1&2. Wow, looking at the wiki I totally forgot about Bucky O'hare. Didn't have the charm and polish of Chip and Dale or Ducktales but the character swapping system was novel.
