Yep. I'd say that the mental health hold was entirely appropriate here. And someone find that doggie a good home before she really does set him on fire.

Only with those people who don't realize pocketwatches gave way to wristwatches for a reason... and a phone used for that purpose is just an expensive pocketwatch.

I wonder if the pet store employee who sold her that puppy-milled dog feels any sort of shame or if it's just on to the next $1200 puppy sale?

When this all first started, I thought it was a publicity grab.  Thought that way for awhile, until a couple of months ago, and especially now, that it's all very sad and she really needs help.   Hopefully the 5150 hold will be the beginning of her recovery.

I think a lot of people wear theirs like they would a bracelet, as jewelry. I wear mine every day but really don't use it as a timepiece as much as I would have 10 years ago.

Now this ^ THIS confuses me to this day. I even remember a toe watch at one point.

I don't have a phone. I have a small computer which just happens to have a phone application and also runs several other applications.

IdBeCrazyIf: I'm going with Cocaine and Alcohol for 400 Alex

If this is what cocaine and alcohol does, I clearly need to up (aka start) my cocaine intake. I got a dog yapping all the time, a wife nagging all the time, an endless supply of free booze, and a can of gasoline just (not quite literally) burning a hole in my pocket.

Just need some (or a lot more than some) cocaine to get the (8)ball rollin'...burnin'...

Because it's a lot easier to glance down at my wrist than do the douchebag move have having to reach into a pocket, unlock a phone and then check the time.

Who wears a watch?  A man...

Yeah, that. This is TFA that put it over the top for me. I enjoy a good train wreck, but this has crossed over into not fun anymore. Poor girl.

I used to work with a family member of hers. Distant - weddings and funerals type family. We've lost touch, but I would love to ask if she knew wtf if anything the close family members were planning to do.
