You might remember from such educational films as "Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly," and "Here Comes the Metric System!"

This is a series called Look Around You which parodied educational TV shows which used to appear on British TV in the mornings. Hence all the crappy 80s music and hairstyles. It's probably funnier if you're of that age and British.

That part freaked me out too.  I wasn't/aren't sure if this is a spoof or real, and still not completely understanding.

Being of that age, and British, I find it hilarious.  Series two, alas, wasn't half as good.

Did Larry Carlson sample/remix audio from that video to make this one?

Sharing a Look Around You Episode on Fark is exactly like showing Man Hit In Groin by Football at a TED talk. As in, wrong audience.

Favorite Look Around You quote: "But what is water? It's a difficult question, because water is impossible to describe. One might ask the same about birds. Whatare birds? We just don't know."

I remember picking up the DVD of season one about four years ago. Did season 2 ever make it to the states?

I dunno.  I torrented them all from the UK.

Season 2 is the '70s' and I found it much less funny.  It lost something in the new setting for me.

These fit nicely on Adult Swim.  Amusing spoofs with a reasonable amount of WTF.
