If they were playing basketball, the Dodgers would still win. Let's be honest here.

They couldn't say it on the internet if it wasn't true.

Well Toronto failed to convert on a power play, and their scrum is terrible.  The Dodgers made all of their penalty kicks, and took the last 5 wickets LBW.

To be fair, Toronto's post-season chances are extinct.

Meh.  It's only Toronto.  No one important was offended.

The Jays played so awfully this series.  Someone in the locker room is a cancer.  50/50 Gibbons/Lawrie.

And Adrian Gonzalez catches one to long-off, that'll go for 6. Now Ethier wants in on the fun too, he slips one past the gully to square, that's 4! The Raptors bowling attack has been nothing short of dreadful this series, only Redmond has shown any hint of promise, taking six Dodger wickets for a beefy 105.

Weird thing was lawrie was actually having good at bats. This is the result of our bull pen finally having enough.

/also don't understand how Colby's botched fielding for the tieing run last night was not an error.

We knew the game was wrapped up when Gonzales, in his role as Outside Grouch, yelled the iconic "Mi tio es infermo, pero la carretera es verde." Of course, had Jose Bautista played for the Woomick in the first Ogre, the point would have been moot. He must still be struggling with the adjustment from two-man to 43-man.

This is as good a place as any to point out that Puig is starting to fail.  His >.400 average is now at like .370.  He has 9 walks and 44 strikeouts.  He's going to fall hard.

He's also an asshole.  fark him.

Yes!  Indeed!  I mean, he went a pathetic 3-5 last night, with 2 runs, 2 rbis a walk and a homer.  Clearly he's in a nose dive.

Giants fans are undoubtedly the most bitter, angry, sniveling, whiny bunch of people I"ve ever met in the realm of sports.  It is a fact that they cannot celebrate their team without mentioning the Dodgers, and the fact that Dodger fans don't give 2 shiats about them makes them even more angry.

Unless they changed it, it was scored a single + an error, allowing the runners to advance. That said, whoever was doing the official scoring this past series wasn't doing a very good job. There were quite a few plays that we clearly errors that he scored as base hits. Which makes it even more impressive that the Jays were close to double digit errors for the series

Nobody expects Puig to maintain the pace he started with (and the little slump he's been in proved that out), but there is no doubt the guy was/is fun to watch when he play's and that's what matters.  And, call it coincidence or just dumb luck, but the Dodgers started turning things around when he showed up at the big league club.  Can they maintain the pace they've set in the last month?  Probably not, but again, it sure is fun to watch while it's happening.

as to your assessment that other ball players think he's an asshole, yeah, I'm sure it's true, but there are also other major league managers (Kirk Gibson, a NL West foe at that) that have been quoted as saying the LOVE the way Puig plays the game, so there's that.

So you wouldn't want him on your team when he was in his prime?  As long as a player's attitude/asshole-ness doesn't rub his own teammates the wrong way (and they are winning with some regularity is important too), other players opinions mean dick....

I'm not saying he plays poorly, just that he's an asshole.  He's acted like one in the games I've watched too.  I'm not cool with that no matter what team you're on.  Think John Rocker, Roger Clemens, etc.

Puig will have a nice big fastball waiting to go down his throat next time he steps into the Rogers Centre. Next year or not. He walked all over us and he's not going to get away with that next time. Our team is full of spineless wimps right now that can't fight to save themselves, but I'm hoping that'll change next year.
